Windows 10: Bluetooth Audio Accessories connects only as "music" headphone under sound, not "voice"...

My post is about the same issue described in this post: Bluetooth headset connects only as "music", not "voice" - Microsoft Community, by @RISHI Chheda I have tried the steps suggested there.However, I did not see a real solution there, even for the original author of the post.The issue, previously all my Bluetooth devices used to show "Connected music, Calls".Now, none of them have "calls".I know the Bluetooth accessories are working fine as they connect well with other mobile as well as windows devices with calling. Bluetooth Headphones only connect to voice and music

Today my headphones started to only use voice and music, when yesterday [the day i got them] they did all noise. I have re paired the headphones to the computer, remove and re add them to the computer list, and remove the computer from the headphones bluetooth
list. Everytime I reconnect them they just say connected to voice and music.

 

Bluetooth headphones are listed as 'connected' instead of 'connected to voice and music'

headphones suddenly stopped playing audio during a film and gave the standard 'mobile device lost' message, upon checking my Bluetooth device list in order to reconnect it, the headphones were listed with the standard 'connected to voice and music' status, so I took the approach of manually disconnecting and reconnecting the headphones the 'that didn't work, please make sure device is still discoverable' and after restarting both computer and headphone Bluetooth device list, the status has become fixed as 'connected' I am unable to manually connect the headphones to audio input or output and the device does not appear on the 'add a device' list

thus far i have restarted all bluetooth services, checked for driver updates, run the bluetooth troubleshooter, and restarted both computer and headphones with still no change, there does not appear to be issues with overall audio as the monitor speakers are still able to play audio

 

Windows: Wireless/bluetooth headphones disconnect and then reconnect without sound if pc stops playing sound

Windows version: 10 pro, version 10.0.17134 Build 17134 (according to system information)

headphone brand: 3sixT wireless bluetooth headphones
laptop: surface laptop

Issue:

Headphones connect to laptop, listed in bluetooth settings as connected for voice,music

If I don't start playing any sounds (music, youtube etc) in the next ~30 seconds after connecting, the headphones alert me that they have disconnected and reconnected, but now they list only voice connected. Same thing happens if I was listening to something and stop/pause it for too long.

They are no longer available in the audio output changer in task bar when this happens and any audio played goes through laptop main speakers.

The device manufacturer (3sixT) does not provide any drivers and they seem to use the standard bluetooth headphone drivers available on whatever system they are connected to.

These headphones connect without issues to my phone (android); issue only seems to be with my laptop.

Unable to find many discussions of similar issues, and those that I could used outdated advice / settings that no longer exist (one suggested something in power settings for the device under the device manager page, but that setting/tab doesn't appear for my device)

tried uninstalling/reinstalling drivers, rolling back drivers, making sure bluetooth service start automatically... Nothing seems to work

Any ideas how I can resolve this, so that my headphones can sit quetly for any amount of time without disconnecting / reconnecting without dropping the 'connected music' setting?
