Windows 10: Bluetooth audio connection issue

I am having an issue with what seems to be all 3 of my wireless bluetooth headsets. Sometimes they seem to connect fine, however there is no audio being played and they do not show in the output menu. When I go to Sounds, I find it there and press connect however nothing happens when I press it and I'm not sure what is causing this issue because none of my headphones are usable. I tried reconnecting, deleting my adapter driver, reinstalling Realtek audio drivers, changing some settings in the headsets. • Click Start.
• On the search bar, type Troubleshooting, and click on
  Troubleshooting from the results.
• Click Hardware and Sound.
• Under Device, click Hardware and Devices.

Audio on connected Bluetooth devices


I'm having a weird problem that I can't figure out and it's driving me nuts.

All that I'm attempting to do is to listen to the podcasts that I have on my Android smart phone through the speakers on my computer via Bluetooth. This worked in Win 8, but since upgrading to 10 I'm encountering a problem.

The computer will pair with the phone with no issues. It will also connect with the device via Bluetooth, no issues there either. But I can't make it pull the audio from the phone. When connected, the audio still plays through the phone, and not the computer.

I've poked around audio settings, and can't find anything. I installed drivers specific to the phone, that did not work. I also went to Dell's site and installed Bluetooth drivers that are specific to my computer. No change.

Any suggestions?

Step 1: Troubleshoot problems with Bluetooth accessories.

Step 2: There are two terms regarding Bluetooth: pairing and connecting. Pairing is the introduction of one device to another. Once paired, they will stay in each other’s memory until manually erased. Once a device
is paired, the headset can then connect to that device to receive audio or voice from the device.

• Go into the device's paired list and manually select the Bluetooth.
  
• You may need to clear your paired list in your headset and re-pair your headset to your device.
  
• To clear your paired list in your headset, follow these steps: on the headset, press and hold the call and volume – buttons for 10 seconds
  
• The headset will revert to discoverable mode (slowly blinking LED), allowing you to re-pair the computer you want connect.
