    Bluetooth audio has become intermittent

In the last few days Bluetooth audio has become intermittent when played through headphones (cuts out for a fraction of a second every 2 - 5 seconds). I've confirmed with two different sets (Anker and Bose). I ran the Windows troubleshooter and confirmed all effects are off. I've updated the driver for the headphones and installed the latest update for Windows (x64 Pro v1903). I still have the problem. Any tips appreciated.

    :)

  2. Intermittent Bluetooth Audio

    Greetings.

Purchased a pair of true wireless Bluetooth earbuds. Worked fine with my Android phone.

Tried using the same earbuds (fully charged too) with Win10 64-bit laptop and the audio became intermittent, especially during neck-turning, let alone moving a short distance back from the screen or standing
up from the chair. Sometimes, there are rare periods of uncut audio but it requires some degree of stillness. The laptop's "Intel Wireless Bluetooth" internal device is "working properly" and has the latest updated driver software. The same problem existed
before the update, yet it persisted after.

Tried applying some solutions from YouTube. Basically, they are all the same (example: ).
    A rundown:

    • Find the earbuds in Devices and Printers
    • Right-click the earbuds, click Properties
    • Click Services tab and un-check the Handsfree Telephony box
    • Right-click the speaker icon on the taskbar
    • Go to Playback Devices
    • Right-click the earbuds and Set as Default Device
Some people say that changing the Wi-Fi's 2.4GHz mode to 5.0GHz should solve the problem as the bluetooth device is using a similar frequency. How then if the user doesn't have a 5.0GHz mode or can't use that
mode? Anyway, it doesn't matter here as the laptop has Wi-Fi turned off.

All this doesn't work. The problem persists even after reconnections. A pair of older, regular wireless Bluetooth earbuds worked fine with the phone but suffered the same problem with the laptop.

Suspicion: The laptop's internal bluetooth device isn't actually working properly. Planning to purchase a USB Bluetooth dongle and insert it into the laptop's USB3 port. However, how does one disable the laptop's
internal bluetooth adapter so it could favour the dongle? Need clear steps.

    windows 10 Bluetooth audio problems

    Hi,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

    • What is the make and model of your computer?
    • Do you get any error message?

I suggest to use a different Bluetooth speaker and check if the same issue persists. Also try using the current speaker with different computer running Windows 10 and check. As you are getting Crackles or warning sound it might be an issue with hardware.

Refer the link below and perform the troubleshooting steps suggested and check if that helps.

Fix connections to Bluetooth audio devices and wireless displays.
