Windows 10: Bluetooth Audio Stuttering - Microsoft Surface Pro 5 - Windows 10

I recently have noticed that any and all bluetooth audio devices that I connect to my Surface Pro 5 have a severe audio stuttering issue. I have done extensive research on the internet and have tried virtually every possible solution that I've found. I've even purchased a Bluetooth USB dongle and tried that after disabling the onboard Bluetooth receiver to see if that was problem but to no avail. All other Bluetooth devices work fine; it's just audio devices JBL Flip speaker, earbuds, wireless earphones, etc that all experience the stuttering audio problem. The onboard audio speakers wo

If you are experiencing Bluetooth audio stuttering issues with your headsets on Windows 11, here are some additional steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the problem:

1. Update Bluetooth Drivers: Even if you didn't find any driver updates through the regular update process, you can manually check the manufacturer's website for your laptop model to download and install the latest Bluetooth drivers.
   
2. Disable Exclusive Mode: Settings > System > Sound > More sound settings > Playback > Properties > Advanced tab and uncheck the boxes under "Exclusive Mode" to allow applications to take exclusive control of the device.
   
3. Reset Bluetooth Cache:
   
   • Open Command Prompt as an administrator and run the following commands:
     
     
   • This will reset the Bluetooth service and clear the cache. Restart your laptop afterward.
     

Apart from that, you can also consider the impact of signal interference, signal strength aspects on Bluetooth quality, and you can even consider buying a new Bluetooth transceiver (which is not expensive as far as I know).

If none of these steps resolve the Bluetooth audio stuttering issue, it's possible that there may be a compatibility issue or hardware problem. In such cases, reaching out to the manufacturer's support team for further assistance might be necessary to diagnose and fix the issue.
