Windows 10: Bluetooth Device Connection Not Changing Apple Music Output on Windows 11

Hello,When I have Apple Music open on Windows 11 and I'm listening through my notebook's speakers, if I then connect to my Bluetooth headphones, the sound doesn't switch to the headphones. All sounds from the computer go to the Bluetooth device, but Apple Music continues to play through the previously selected output.If I close and reopen the Apple Music app after connecting the Bluetooth headphones, the sound does come through the headphones.My question is: When connecting a Bluetooth device while Apple Music is open, shouldn't Windows change the sound output? Is this a bug?I would appreciate

It looks like you're experiencing an issue where your Sony WH-1000XM4 headphones connect to your Asus Notebook via Bluetooth but the headphones do not appear as an output device in the sound settings. Since you mentioned that the headphones work fine on other devices and have worked on this laptop before, it seems the issue is with the laptop settings or drivers.



Here are a few steps you could try to resolve the issue:

1. First open Windows Settings - go to the Bluetooth devices tab - delete the pairing information for Sony WH-1000XM4 - then turn off your Windows Bluetooth functionality.
   
2. Check for other connected Bluetooth devices around you, such as mobile phones or other mobile devices with Bluetooth functionality. Go into these settings to turn off Bluetooth, which should allow your Bluetooth headset's communication channel to come out to Windows.
   
3. Based on previous experience, if a Bluetooth headset is connected to more than two devices, the communication channel will be occupied, but this depends on the communication channel reserved for the headset by the hardware manufacturer.
   
4. Go back to the Windows side, restart the device, and turn on the Bluetooth function. Follow the steps for headphone pairing in Sony's manual to start pairing. After successful pairing, check whether it can be selected as the output device normally.

Windows 11 - Sound output cannot be change when bluetooth device connected

Hi,

My Laptop occur a sound playback issue. Windows 11 cannot change the sound output device automatically when Bluetooth speaker connected. Settings>Bluetooth & devices showing the speaker is connected but the Sound Playback shows the speaker Disconnected any grey out the symbol

Troubleshooting the Bluetooth audio then Win11 reset or reboot the Bluetooth and done but nothing changed. I had uninstall and update the speaker driver still same result. Bluetooth mouse and keyboard are normal, only occur problem when connect audio device. Please help to fix it.‍♂️ Cala'

 

Issue with Bluetooth Speakers Connected but not listed in sound devices on Windows 11

When attempting to connect my Vizio Bluetooth speaker to my computer, the pairing process is successful. However, despite being paired, the audio continues to play through the computer's built-in speakers instead of the connected Bluetooth speakers. Notably, the Bluetooth speakers do not appear in the mixer settings, preventing me from redirecting the audio output.

Observations:

• In Settings -> Bluetooth & devices -> Devices -> Audio, both Dell U2723QE and VIZIO SB3651 are listed.
  
• In Settings -> System -> Sound -> All Sound devices -> Output devices, only Dell U2723QE is listed.

Note: I have come across multiple reports online highlighting the same issue with Bluetooth speaker connectivity on Windows 11. Despite the prevalence of this problem, it appears that no tickets or decisive action has been taken by Microsoft to address this issue. Therefore, I am posting this problem again in the hope of receiving assistance and contributing to the resolution of this widespread concern.
