  1. Bluetooth device is not available after an update.

I am currently running on a laptop I recently bought and everything was fine but after an update my bluetooth just disappeared.
So I tried everything I thought of and found on the internet but nothing seemed to help.

    Things I did:

First of all I can't even run the troubleshooter as it says "Bluetooth is not available on this device. Please try using an external adaptar to add Bluetooth capability to this computer"

I checked the services and Bluetooth support service is running on auto.

All drivers are up to date. I even ended up digging information about my motherboard so I can search the exact drivers I need.

In device manager when I expand Bluetooth it does show existing device and I read somewhere to try and uninstall the first onewhich I suppose was the device and reboot so it can install on itself again. But nothing happened after the reboot, the option just disappeared and I can't find a way to bring it back. Now the remaining options are :

    Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator

    Microsoft Bluetooth LE Enumerator

I also ran the sfc /scannow in command prompt and it did fix some corrupted files, but did not fix my bluetooth problem.

I did uninstallation of latest quality update but this did not help either.

I even did the simple fix that worked for a suprising amount of people - turning the laptop off from the power button, unplugging the charger and waiting before turning it back on.

I got to the point of thinking of doing a clean install, but the I read someone had the same problem and the reinstallation didn't help.

I already lost my whole day trying to find a solution and feel really frustrated.

    :)

"Bluetooth is not available on this device" after update

I have recently run an automatic Windows update (update for Windows 10 version 1803 for x64-based Systems (KB4023057)) after which my Bluetooth has stopped functioning. I have tried the solutions suggested in previous discussions to no avail:

-- No Bluetooth listed on Network and Internet settings menu

-- Troubleshooter says "Device does not have Bluetooth"

-- Bluetooth and other devices menu visible, but no button to turn on Bluetooth; a message saying "Bluetooth is turned off" under every saved device

-- Driver update clients won't find Bluetooth-related drivers to update

-- Bluetooth Support Service enabled and running

-- Drivers listed in the Bluetooth folder in Device Manager: Device Identification Service; Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator; Microsoft Bluetooth LE Enumerator; Qualcomm Atheros AR3012 Bluetooth 4.0. All appear as up-to-date when searching for updates. No
    Generic Bluetooth Adapter in sight.

  3. Update Broke My Bluetooth - No Bluetooth Device Available - Can't find bluetooth in Device Manager

After a random update from Windows to update my Edge browser. I completely lost my Bluetooth, my computer seemed convinced that it wasn't even compatible. I spent many hours searching for the answer and tried so many different steps. Then I found one very
simple solution on the pcrisk blog which solved it instantly! I can't confirm if prior steps helped, but given the consecutive nature of the steps - I'd recommend taking them haha.

The standard steps were the same as previous recommendations (none of which worked for me and seemingly for many others left in the dark) but the
7th step was the winner! So Simple,
let your computer drain all its battery then turn it back on.

    1. Turn Bluetooth On
    2. Re-enable Bluetooth Device
    3. Update Bluetooth Driver
    4. Run Windows Bluetooth Troubleshooter
    5. Install Bluetooth Drivers In Compatibility Mode
    6. Check The Bluetooth Support Service
    7. Unplug Your Computer

Bluetooth Not Available. How To Fix It?

I thought I'd share this here because I searched many of the questions and forums and couldn't find the answer.

If someone can add this suggestion to the following topics I'm sure it would be very useful to many!
