Windows 10: Bluetooth Device Not Pairing: "Check the PIN and try connecting again." Not Able To Enter a PIN

Hello there,


I've been using a pair Bluetooth headphones for a little while now and they've been working really well. Suddenly, the headphones wouldn't play any sound even though the computer said the headphones were connected. So, after reconnecting them unsuccessfully, I unpaired them from my computer and attempted to re-pair the headphones.


However, when I try to pair the headphones, all it tells me is "Check the PIN and try connecting again." However, there is no way for me to enter a pin. No window pops up, no dialogue, no nothing. I've tried restarting and shutting down my computer and headphones multiple times, but to no avail.


I know the headphones work because I am able to easily pair, connect, and play sounds through them on my mobile phone.

Don't get the windows prompt to enter the pin for bluetooth device pairing

I am struggling to pair and connect the bluetooth mouse with my laptop and keeps saying check pin and try connecting again. How can I check the PIN if I don't get the prompt to enter the PIN.

I'm grateful for your replies. I obviously haven't done a good job of explaining. Here are snips of the windows involved. I have done all the steps suggested, but I can't directly enter the PIN in the larger window. That seems to be my only problem. Plantronics hasn't answered yet, but I'll hope they come through.
