  1. BLUETOOTH - DID NOT WRITE DOWN PIN # NOW I CANT PAIR KEYBOARD - WINDOWS 10

    Hello,

i tried to connect a apple magic keyboard to my windows 10 pc through a Dongle.

It showed a pin, but i was confused as to how put in the pin since it was a wireless keyboard and next thing you know the pin # is gone before i even had time or the idea came across that i should write this down.

now it constantly ask me to put in pin whenever i try to pair the keyboard to the dongle..

is there anyway i can request a new pin or any other possible solution...

    :)

  2. Can't pair Bluetooth keyboard - "Check the PIN and try connecting again."

I've been using a Bluetooth keyboard with my Windows 10 laptop for months. Suddenly it wouldn't connect, and I made the mistake of removing it from my Bluetooth devices before discovering its batteries were dead. Now, with new batteries, it won't pair.

The problem is that when I go to Windows Settings and select Add Bluetooth or other device and put the keyboard into pairing mode, it shows up in the
Add a device dialog, but when I click it, it says "Connecting..." for a long time and then says "Check the PIN and try connecting again."

That's not the way it's supposed to work! That Add a device dialog is supposed to give me a PIN and then I'm supposed to type it on the keyboard. So I have no way to proceed and complete the pairing.

Troubleshooting steps I have done so far.

    • I've tried the process repeatedly.
    • I moved the keyboard very near to, and then many feet away from, the laptop.
    • I moved the laptop and the Bluetooth keyboard to other locations in house, further away from other wireless devices.
    • I turned off all other Bluetooth devices in house.
    • In Device Manager I deleted everything under the Bluetooth category, selecting to delete the driver files also, and rebooting. (After reboot, everything comes back by itself.)
    • The laptop vendor support app, and Windows updates, say the laptop is up to date.
    • I swapped Bluetooth keyboards between two PCs. This keyboard paired to that PC without issue. The PIN appeared, I typed it on the keyboard, and done. That keyboard from the other PC would not pair on this laptop, displaying the same issue as the other keyboard
      did.
    • I have seen the solutions offered by ThomasFulton and Hanuki4 in
      this thread
on this forum, but I don't get the same dialogs that these answers refer to, so am unable to use the info.

  3. Bluetooth Keyboard PIN

I am having the same issue; namely, when I try to pair my keyboard (to a Win10 Mobile device) it sees the keyboard (Listing it as a "Bluetooth 3.0 Keyboard, Input") as available to pair. When I touch on the keyboard to pair and it asks for the pin. I
do not know the PIN and there is no default PIN for the device. (I attempted to pair the Keyboard to an Android device, the Android device generated a new PIN and I entered that and it works with that device).

It appears that I need to wipe out the Win10 device's previous association with the BT keyboard so that I can start the pairing process again, but I cannot find any documentation on how to do that.

    Bluetooth Keyboard Pairing issue?

Recently I unpaired my Bluetooth keyboard (Something I will never do again)

When I attempted to pair it again with the computer I did exactly what I always do when pairing my Bluetooth devices, Settings, add Bluetooth device, put my keyboard in pairing mode and select it on the available devices, it gave me a Bluetooth pairing pin
it generates. At this point i left my computer for whatever reason and so did not enter the pin nor take note of this pin.

Now when I try to pair this keyboard it sees the keyboard fine, shows it available to pair. I click on the keyboard to pair and it asks for the pin. I have tried to guess the pin, but not only do I not know the pin but also cannot even enter the password/pin
because its not paired. I have to use the keyboard wired to enter any input to the box, but of course I don't know it so I cant connect.

Is there anyway to reset this pin or turn of Bluetooth pairing pins so I can completely restart the pairing process? I have already told the computer to forget the keyboard to try and restart the pairing process but it does not give me a new pin.

So frustrating! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I used to consider myself tech savvy, this is completely undermining me.

    Keyboard is Drevo Calibur.
