Windows 10: Bluetooth disconnects after pc wake

The modern standby feature is working correctly so don't worry about that.


So here's the situation:

I have my bluetooth headphones connected to my laptop while listening to music.


I put the laptop to sleep, music still plays great.

I wake up the computer, bluetooth is on and plays for like 2 seconds, bluetooth turns off for like 3 seconds, my music starts playing out loud, then the bluetooth turns back on and everything works fine again.


Is there a solution to why the bluetooth suddenly disconnects after the computer wakes up and then connects again.

I understand that Microsoft Bluetooth keyboard doesn’t wake the computer from sleep or hibernate. I’ll certainly help you with the issue.



However, please let us know:

• Are you able to wake the computer using any other keyboard?
  
• What is the complete model number of the Microsoft keyboard?
  

I would suggest you to refer the troubleshooting steps mentioned in the article
Troubleshoot problems waking computer from sleep mode.



Note: Modifying BIOS/ complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) settings incorrectly can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from booting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that any problems
resulting from the configuring of BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Modifications of the settings are at your own risk.



You can also try running the power troubleshooter and check if that helps.
Refer the steps mentioned below:

1. Press Windows logo key + I, to open
   Settings.
   
2. Click on Update & Security, and select
   Troubleshoot from the left pane.
   
3. Scroll down, look for Power troubleshooter, click on it and select
   Run the troubleshooter.
   
4. Follow the on-screen instructions.

How to disconnect and reconnect bluetooth devices in Windows 10?

Hi Melody,

Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community. We understand the inconvenience caused and will assist you.

I suggest you to follow the steps provided below and check if it helps.

• Pair the Bluetooth device to the system.
• Right click on the Speaker icon in the System tray and select
  Playback Devices.
• Select the device and click on the drop down list next to Set default button.
• Select the option to connect and disconnect from the device.

Streaming music on bluetooth disconnects wifi


Having upgraded form 8.1 to Windows 10 I now find that streaming music on bluetooth disconnects wifi. It does this every time within a few minuets. (Bluetooth and Adapter drivers are up to date.) I have changed the virgin super hub from channel 1 to 12 but problem remains)
Any suggestions?
