Windows 10: Bluetooth disconnects too quickly

Using OnePlus Bullets 2 and Bose QC35 II headphones with Windows 10. Both work perfectly if I'm playing something non-stop.


If I instead listen to something which has frequent pauses, such as Firefox Text-to-Speech feature, the audio will cut out frequently. Whenever there is a paragraph break the headphone signal stops, and then starts again, but always missing the first word or two before playing properly.


The same happens when scrubbing on YouTube - with wired speakers the connection is constant, but with Bluetooth headphones there is a second or so gap where audio is lost after scrubbing.


It seems these apps are cutting the audio signal when these events occur, and Windows Bluetooth is in turn cutting the signal to my audio devices as a power saving tool. But the threshold is way to low/fast - I'm losing a lot of audio and being distracted as a result.


Can I disable or modify the span of time before the Bluetooth signal is cut for power saving?

How to disconnect and reconnect bluetooth devices in Windows 10?

I suggest you to follow the steps provided below and check if it helps.

• Pair the Bluetooth device to the system.
• Right click on the Speaker icon in the System tray and select
  Playback Devices.
• Select the device and click on the drop down list next to Set default button.
• Select the option to connect and disconnect from the device.

Streaming music on bluetooth disconnects wifi


Having upgraded form 8.1 to Windows 10 I now find that streaming music on bluetooth disconnects wifi. It does this every time within a few minuets. (Bluetooth and Adapter drivers are up to date.) I have changed the virgin super hub from channel 1 to 12 but problem remains)
Any suggestions?

Bluetooth speakers - how to stop from disconnecting.

Hello,

To assist you with your concern, we suggest that you uninstall the Bluetooth adapter and
reboot the machine so that it will be reinstalled.

After reboot, follow these steps:

• Go back to Device manager.
• Click on the Bluetooth drop down.
• Right-click on your Bluetooth Adapter choose Properties.
• Go to the Power Management Tab.
• Uncheck Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.
