Windows 10: Bluetooth doesn't show anywhere on my Windows 10 computer

I understand that there are a lot of similar forum questions like this that have already been asked, but I can't seem to find a solution to my problem. As stated, Bluetooth does not show up ANYWHERE on my Windows 10. There is no toggle on/off button in "Bluetooth & Other Devices" setting, bluetooth no longer shows anywhere on device manager it doesn't show under hidden devices either. I have attempted to uninstall and reinstall bluetooth drivers from intel, which is the CPU my computer uses, and no luck.


I also just want to add that I had bluetooth working fine a couple of days ago, but all of a sudden its now gone. Therefore I am positive that I have bluetooth capabilities with my PC

My computer specs are as listed in the profile. I think all of you guys are correct. I don't have built-in Bluetooth in mobo.

I contacted skull candy headphones and thy have told me if I do not have built-in Bluetooth, I would need a dongle which supports at least a2dp. I do not know what the heck that means. I have a feeling I would need more than a cheap dongle.

Anyone suggest some a2dp adapters. I searched but don't know what a2dp is so couldn't make a decision

Edit: This is a dongle with old BT version I see now, but I'm sure you can find a Asus BT4.0 version.

@aasim1111 I have this one, it doesn't show that it supports A2DP in the specs but I think it'll work, otherwise send a mail to Asus and ask.

I`m sorry I had not noticed that the text on the picture was in spanish. It says that windows has replaced some damaged clusters in "name" file and "directory". Then, at the end "an unspecified error occurred (75736e6a726e6c2e 4f6)".

I`ll do it and I`ll be updating this thread when I have the report.
