Windows 10: Bluetooth Drivers missing and Casting issues

Hi there,I have an Acer Aspire XC-703. It was running Windows 8.1 when my brother gave it to me a few days ago. I upgraded it to windows 10 and since then Bluetooth doesn’t work and casting is acting up I contacted Acer Support and they gave me links to new drivers for my unit. I installed them, nothing. Still no Bluetooth. I went back to them and said it didn’t work so they told me this: if the image inserted I need both Bluetooth and Casting to work for what I need if for. As for what casting is doing it works but doesn’t detect any devices even though they are on the same network. Please

• Do you get any error message when you try to cast the device?
• Does the issue happen when you don't use cast to device, I mean when you are online?
• Which device do you use to cast the content?

If the issue happens only when you cast the device, the issue can be that of the casting device. In that case I would request you to execute the Hardware and devices troubleshooter.

Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with hardware and devices. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with the Bluetooth adapter. Refer these steps:

• 
  Press Windows key +X, select
  Control panel.
  
• 
  Change the view by option on the top right to
  Large icons.
  
• 
  Click on troubleshooting and click on the
  view all option on the left panel.
  
• 
  Run the Hardware and devices troubleshooter.
  
• 
  Restart your computer and check if the issue is resolved.

Bluetooth issues with the driver.

Hi,

We would like to know more about your Bluetooth driver concern. Kindly answer the following questions:

• When did you start encountering the issue?
  
• Have you made any changes on your computer prior to this issue?
  
• Is the Bluetooth driver detected under Device Manager?

Meanwhile, you can consider removing/uninstalling the Bluetooth driver from the Device Manager and then restart your computer. In that way, the system will automatically install the generic Bluetooth driver.

To uninstall the Bluetooth driver, follow the steps below:

• Press the Windows key + R on your keyboard, type
  devmgmt.msc, and then hit Enter.
  
• Expand Bluetooth.
  
• Right-click the Bluetooth driver, and then select Uninstall. (Note: If the driver is not located in Bluetooth, then you can look for it under
  Other devices.)
  
• Restart your computer.
