Windows 10: Bluetooth finding keyboard but will not connect

Hi,


I'm using Windows 10 on my desktop, bluetooth connected with a usb thing, and a logitech k480 keyboard. I turned off my keyboard briefly and when I turned it back on, it wouldn't connect. I removed it from the list of devices and tried to add it back on, the keyboard is showing up on "Add a device" but won't connect. Keyboard will connect to my phone, so I assume the problem is with the computer or with the usb bluetooth thing. I tried connecting my phone to computer with bluetooth and that also isn't working; same situation where it's showing up but can't connect.


Have tried updating my drivers, running troubleshoot it said it fixed a problem with bluetooth radio, but no change, restarting computer, turning bluetooth on and off, taking out the usb thing and putting it back in. Haven't tried reinstalling the bluetooth thing, it's kind of a hassle and I'm not sure if it might help or not? Anything else I can try?


I've previously had occasional problems with the bluetooth taking a long time to connect, but they seemed to stop when I ran the troubleshooter a week or so ago.

E63 will find my bluetooth keyboard but error "unable to connect to keyboard!"

I have a generic bluetooth "smart keyboard" which I use with no problems with my Palm Tungsten E2 so it's HID compatible.



I can find and pair the keyboard in "connectivity". However when I try to connect using "wireless keyboard" I get "unable to connect to keyboard!" error.



I downloaded the sis file from nokia europe but it doesn't list the E63 in the E series although listing among others the E61 and E71.



I tried to transfer this file with PC suite and got an error.



Are there any driver files around to enable me to connect my e63 and keyboard or am I doing something wrong.



Any suggestions are appreciated. thanks.

 

Re-Connect Microsoft Bluetooth Surface Keyboard

I'm running Windows 10 2004 (OS Build 19041.264). I have a Gigabyte Aorus Master X570 motherboard with built-in Bluetooth and Antenna.
I have a Bluetooth Surface Keyboard which I like, but it sometimes disconnects itself.
I can re-connect it via Settings->Devices, but in order to do so, I have to un-pair it, then pair it again and connect, which is a pain.
In the 'Notifications' area of the desktop, there are two options relating to Bluetooth, The first, which has a Bluetooth Symbol on it, just switches Bluetooth on and off. The second, labelled 'Connect' does not list my keyboard, its functionality being restricted to 'wireless display and audio devices'. It has an option (at the bottom) to 'Find Other Types of Devices', which just takes me into Settings -> Devices where I have to un-pair, the pair and connect, just the same as I describe above.
Does anyone know if there is any way that I can easily re-connect a paired keyboard device which is switched on, without having to un-pair and re-pair first?

 

Windows 10 not giving PIN to connect Dell bluetooth keyboard

Windows 10 Pro.
Intel Bluetooth on Lenovo ideapad Y500.

The keyboard was originally connected without issues. Nephew changed batteries and tried to go through re-connection (even though he didn't need to). Now every time we go to connect it finds the keyboard but asks to enter the pin. He originally told me that it did give him a pin (6 digit?) but he ignored it.
No bluetooth keyboard is present in the list of devices. Bluetooth mouse works fine. We have tried 0000, 1234 and 123456. I think it's still looking for the code it originally gave. Uninstalled bluetooth from device manager, rebooted and let it reinstall. Still asks for pin without giving a new one. I need to find a way to reset it so it gives another PIN.

Trying to diagnose over phone and slooooooow join me session. World is ending because nephew can't play games. *Wink
