Windows 10: Bluetooth handsfree is not working right / bugged

So my laptop has this thing, that when I start using the microphone on a bluetooth audio device that has a microphone, the audio is not right. It sounds REALLY sped up and distorted. When I am not using the mic then it works fine. If I use the in-built mic, it works fine too. If I use a mic from a headphone jack, it also works fine. I find this really annoying since I can't really switch my microphone to a different source while keeping my audio at the same source. Bluetooth handsfree?

it works the same everytime:

- connect bluetooth to car as handsfree

- find contact and initiate call

- while 'connecting' checking menu confirms 'handsfree on'

- once connected, 'handsfree off' and call is routed to handset

- menu to turn 'handsfree on' works and call is transferred to car



initiating call from car works fine



so the Blackjack / Windows Mobile / or the Bluetooth protocol is incorrectly selecting 'handsfree off' at the moment the call is connected



everything else works fine, dialing from car, answering calls, switching lines, etc.



interestingly, I tested the Samsung A717 and it works correctly, suggesting the Samsung Bluetooth implementation is correct and it's a WM5 thing

 

Handsfree mic bluetooth does not work

1. No, I think.

2. It is a desktop with Gigabyte Z97M-D3H as the mother-board.

3. It is a generic device, I don't remember the make.

4. I don't know, because I bought the Bluetooth device to use this.

5. No.

6. Version 1809.

The bluetooth device is working, because when I disable Handsfree, the sounds goes out fine.

And I realized that there's no bthHFSrv installed in my computer.

I have read the information at the link you posted and despite trying the things they suggest, nothing has changed.

My phone still shows up as a connected bluetooth device (I have removed and reinstalled it and bluetooth driver multiple times), but there are missing options when I right click on it (in devices and printers) as compared to Windows 8.1.

Can you please confirm that the handsfree calling feature is available on Windows 10 and that it works with Apple products?
