Windows 10: Bluetooth headphone giving weird sound while using microphone and and sound at the same time

BT audio works perfectly until the microphone is requested by some application. For example a meeting in teams or windows sound recording settings. When that applications stop using the microphone, the sound stops being distorted and works well again. If I mute the microphone the sound keeps being distorted. I am using a realme buds 3 wireless and TP link ub400 bluetooth adaptor. If i change the adaptor abd install a new wifi and bluetooth card will it fix?

Stereo Bluetooth Headphones do not reproduce stereo sound

Bluetooth 4.x headsets (headphones with microphone) have two modes:
1. Stereo headset speakers with NO microphone
2. Mono headset speakers with microphone

I see in the listing for your headphones it shows a microphone. Make sure your the audio is configured correctly so that you have stereo headphone speakers.

With your headphones connected with Bluetooth

Left-click on little speaker (bottom right on desktop)





You should see current speaker for computer
In this example headphones in stereo is selected





If you click on Headphones you will bring up all options

Right-click on little speaker (bottom right on desktop)





Select Sounds from list





If you want Stereo Headphones but NO microphone

Select Playback tab
Make sure Headphones is the current playback device





Select Recording tab
Make sure Microphone array (or similar) is the current recording device

 

Headphone, earphone and microphone are not in Sound Control Panel.

Windows 10 64 bit








Stereo mix and line & mic at front or rear panel don't work too.

I somehow managed to get my headphone to play the same thing as my speaker at the same time but that's as far as i got.

 

Whenever using a Bluetooth Headphone's Microphone all bluetooth sound drivers crash and sound does not work

This is an on going problem I've had for multiple years with my computer and I have not found a solution

whenever I use ANY bluetooth built in microphone I get a strange beep sound followed by the bluetooth headset unable to produce sound. Then every single sound device except for the internal speakers crashes and gets removed from my list of registered devices.

then they will all come back one by one and based on the test sound option after right clicking are technically producing sound because the green bars move but no sound will actually come out of my computer unless I completely remove the device and re-pair it to my computer.

The weird part and the reason I have not gotten in solved in years is because if I just disable the microphone part of the wireless headset then there is no issue.

Before you mention to check the individual headphone drivers, that is not the issue as this crashing happens with ANY wireless headset being used.

I've tried updating the bluetooth drivers, deleting them and restarting, running both the sound and bluetooth trouble shooters, accessing microphone settings, or any of the other generic checks that I see recommended for bluetooth/sound related issues

I have not been able to use anything aside from the internal microphone for my laptop for years and I'm getting sick of it.
