  1. Bluetooth Headphones Enter "Standby Mode" after 3 seconds of inactivity on Windows 10

    Hello Dear Developpers,

The similar question already had been asked and I am experiencing the same problem, I think that for energy saving purpose, windows stops bluetooth signal, when the device is idle, I am studying foreign languages on PC, and sometimes I want to check the pronounciations of words, but when i click the word and press play, some half of the word is being absorbed coz of this delay, i cannot hear the first syllabes of the word which is pretty annoying, I want bluetooth device to be always ready, despite its charge finish quickly, I dont care, if there was an option on windows, like power saving mode, or always ready mode for bluetooth headphone, it would be great.... Hope this can be fixed, I found some little program called "SPDIF Keep Alive utility" which was created for this purpose, but they claim it doesn't work on windows 10 properly but on win 7 it works, whatever at least an update as this program would be useful for windows 10, please take this problem into consideration....

    Thanks in advance...

    :)

Bluetooth Headphones Enter "Standby Mode" after 3 seconds of inactivity on Windows 10

This is the link to a Microsoft forum that has a complaint about exactly the same thing that i am experiencing.

I will just post a link just because i'm lazy, and in case you are lazy, I will just paste the content of the link here if you don't want to click the link. I corrected models that are mentioned in the post in this link to suit mine. so everything is accurate.
I am posting this because i am not the only one that has this problem and i hope if Microsoft will get too much complaints they will fix it.

the model of my laptop is ASUS FX503V and is using:

    Windows 10 Pro

    version 1909

    OS Build 18363.719

Bluetooth Headphones Enter "Standby Mode" after 3 seconds of inactivity on Windows 10

So I finally made the decision of moving to Windows 10 after years of being comfortable with Windows 7 today, and instantly I came across a really really annoying problem with my Bluetooth configuration. For my PC I normally use Vervebuds 110 via
a Bluetooth connection, and before a certain windows 10 update everything was fine. i suspect it is about an update that did this because when i bought this product it had no problem whatsoever. I suspect windows just did auto update and at some point messed
things up. The OS wants to focus on power-saving settings with Bluetooth connections. I've found that every time I connect my headphones, they're in a 'standby mode' when no audio is playing, so every time the headphones receive audio, it takes about a second
to kick in. The main problem is that once the audio is done playing, after 3 seconds of inactivity, they go back into 'standby mode' with an ear-piercing disconnect bass-noise.

I did some digging and I'm not alone. Apparently with some new update, Microsoft decided to enforce care in Bluetooth Device battery life, and literally force a timer in telling the devices to go into 'standby mode' when they aren't needed to be
used at the very second. Although their effort is logical and makes sense, I like many others find this excruciatingly annoying. With this sort of 'power-saving' enforcement, every single time I get a notification on an app such as Discord, the headphones
turn-on and have the notification noise cut off from delay, and turn back off again in 3 seconds, ith that bass noise, sounding like someone disconnected an aux cord from active speakers.

Further inspection has made me realize that this has nothing to do with the headphones themselves. This also is an error with Bluetooth Mice and Keyboards, where Windows will disconnect them after 3 seconds of not being used.

This extreme annoyance has alone has made me revert to Windows 7 in a fit of rage. I really want a fix to this, my headphones are my main audio output and it's really aggravating when I try to do anything on my pc while wearing them."

    -Things I've already tried-

-Uninstalling the headphones through Device Manager and reinstalling drivers

-Uninstalling the Bluetooth adapter through Device Manager and reinstalling drivers

-Trying the 'Allow windows to disable this device to save power' tick- (Found it on one PC and tried turning it off but didn't fix my error. Main PC doesn't have the option at all.)

-Tried disabling/enabling some suspective settings in the headphones' properties

-Even tried messing around with Bluetooth services like enabling/disabling stuff

Don't even ask about updating my PC because I literally just installed the latest version of everything.

The problem here is that Windows wants to put the headphones into 'standby mode' in 3 seconds of not being used. A fix for this would be to adjust the timing for this setting so that it's something like 5 minutes instead of 3 seconds. Even
if they don't go into the 'standby mode' at all, that would be a fix. I'd rather have a constant and continuous connection rather than an annoying 'flickering' one.

    Whoopie, generic responses.

My main PC's custom, there's no specific model. There is absolutely no reason why you need to know the specific PC, quit the generic answers. This isn't a problem with the hardware, it's a problem with Windows 10.

(For people who don't get paid by the hour to Copy & Paste from a generic list of like terms, here's spec info for you guys. Highly doubt it will fair any use though.)

BT Adapters (each on different PC's):

    -Asus BT400

    -Intel Built-In BT

Both running Windows 10 Pro on latest updates and drivers.

"This could be because of a weak Bluetooth connection between your computer and device. Make sure, there are no objects between your computer and device, and check if the issue persists. Objects such as TVs, microwaves, cordless phones, or other wireless
    devices can weaken Bluetooth signals."

No it isn't. As I said before, the connection is perfectly fine. There is no loss of quality or loose connection. The problem here is that Windows wants to set my bluetooth device to 'standby mode' the very next few seconds it's not in use.

"If the issue persists, I suggest you to install the latest Intel Wireless Bluetooth driver directly from Intel, to see if it works."

Intel has nothing to do with this. I'm using an Asus bluetooth adapter for my main PC and it has the exact same problem as my secondary PC which has an Intel adapter. The driver is not the problem, as two separate devices on two companies
BOTH present the exact same issue.

    The problem is Microsoft's OS.

I need a fix for devices and their timeout value that makes them enter 'standby mode', similar of how a PC goes to sleep mode. Whether it be through the Registry Editor or Device Manager, there must be a fix for this. It's exactly 3 seconds-
there is a value somewhere telling inactive devices to enter 'standby mode' after only 3 seconds. I need a fix for
    this.
