  2. Bluetooth Radio Status Requires Frequent Repair

I've had an issue with my mouse pointer freezing and jumping for some time now. I ran Bluetooth troubleshooter for Win 10, and it said it fixed the Bluetooth radio status. This seemed to cure the pointer problem. Then, while playing Microsoft Solitaire
the pointer began stopping and jumping again. Thinking maybe it was the game, I uninstalled it, installed it, and the problem continued. It carried over into all other pointer movements in every other thing I did with my laptop.

I moved the USB receiver to another port, farther from the mouse, and again, it seemed to help. And then the issue cropped up again.

Finally I bought a new Logitech mouse, and at first I had no problem. And then it started again.

Every time I run the troubleshooter it fixes the Bluetooth radio status, the pointer is good for awhile, and then has fits again. I'm at a total loss as to what can be done. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Bluetooth Radio Status Requires Frequent Repair

    Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

We appreciate your effort on this. We understand that the Bluetooth mouse pointer keeps freezing and jumping. However, after running the troubleshooter the issue gets resolved.

We would like to know if you are using Wi-Fi connection to connect to the internet.

If you are using Wi-Fi, then try disconnecting the Wi-Fi and check if the issue occurs.

If you are connected to Wi-Fi with 2.4GHz channel, if available, try connecting to 5GHz channel and check if issue persists. This is to check if the Wi-Fi frequency interferes with the Bluetooth connection.

Meanwhile, you can try updating the Bluetooth drivers. Refer the steps mentioned below:

    1. Press Windows key + X, and select
      Device Manager.
    2. Expand Bluetooth.
    3. Right click on the Bluetooth device and select
      Update Driver.
    4. Restart the computer.

Article for reference: Update drivers in Windows 10.

For additional information, you may refer

If the issue persists, please reply with the make and model of the computer and Mouse.

    Let us know the results.
