Windows 10: Bluetooth headset not getting detected

Hi,I have a OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z Bluetooth headset. It was paired to my windows 10 laptop and was working fine. After using the headset for some time, I had to recharge it as the battery was only 4%. Without disconnecting the connection, I put the headset for charging . After it got fully charged, I connected it to my laptop but noticed that it was still showing my headset charge as 4%. Thinking that it needs to be refreshed, I removed the device with the intention of reconnecting it back. But after removing the device, I tried to add the bluetooth headset device again, but no matter how

Bluetooth headset doesn't get detected as audio device automatically

I've got the headphones paired via Bluetooth but when clicking on the sound icon in systray there's no option to quick switch.

To get audio through the headset I have to go to Devices and Printers, right-click the headset icon, select Control, then I get the following window:





I then have to choose Connect.

Only then does the option to switch audio appear in the sound pop-up





I'm not sure what is required to get the headphones detected automatically - is it a limitation of the headset or my Bluetooth dongle?

Getting sound with bluetooth headset

HI, I have bluetooth Samsung Gear Circle headset and a SoundBlaster Jam bluetooth headset. Both pair fine, both connect fine. No sound. They do not show up in "Select Device Playback". (Speakers and USB headphones show up in that list). I know that
they both worked at one time or another, but not this time. Am I missing a step?
