Windows 10: Bluetooth headset stops System Sounds from being recorded on PC.

I started using a Bluetooth HyperX Cloud Flight headset, and they worked fine for about a month, but now all of a sudden whenever it is in use my recordings only have the sound of my voice, no sound from background applications or the main application I'm recording.I have looked everywhere for the solution, but everything I find is about microphone volume, but as I've said that Isn't my problem.I also tried asking this question other places, but I have not got a response so I'm now just asking this everywhere I can.

No sound if Bluetooth headset set to default playback and recording

I'm using a Bluetooth headset and for some reason when I set it to the default playback device as well as the default recording device (both normal and 'communication') then I don't get audio in Overwatch.

Tested:

• Have sound in Tharsis
  
• Have sound in VLC
  
• Have sound in Overwatch (windowed mode)
  
• No sound in Skyrim
  
• Have sound in Sykrim (windowed mode)
  
• No sound in Orcs Must Die 2
  
• Have sound in Orcs Must Die 2 (windowed mode)
  If I switch the default recording device to something else, then the audio does work.
  

I am using Windows 10.

The issue appears to be with the way games contact the audio device when in direct mode (not an expert on these things).

The headset did not come with a driver CD (appears to be built in in windows). How do I fix this issue?

 

Good surround sound headset

I know you say you're not that guy, but stepping into the $250+ range really brings a change in build quality that might have you never having to buy another set. Otherwise, getting 6 speakers with decent sound in a headset is hard, and that's what you are asking for, and I have no suggestions, but just a bump up the list. *Stick Out Tongue

 

Bluetooth headset mic does not work with newly built PC

Recently built a PC with ASRock B550 ITX/ac motherboard. I am using a wireless bluetooth headphones (similar to airpods).

The sound is great, however, I am unable to record anything through the built-in mic.

System: Windows 10

Problem: Connect a bluetooth headset to the PC; The sound works; the mic doesn't work seemingly

Things I have tried:

1. Uninstalling and reinstalling Realtek sound drivers
   
2. uninstalling and reinstalling bluetooth drivers
   
3. Using the same headphones on a laptop - both sound and mic work as expected
   
4. Using another pair of bluetooth headphones on my desktop PC - same issue persists
   

Above are the main solutions I was able to find online, however, if anyone here has other suggestions, that would be great!
