I wear hearing aids and they are bluetoothed to my laptop. However, sometimes when I start a skype call to another skype user, the audio input to me won't work. On the skype settings audio page, it says the hearing aids are not connected. However, they are connected if I look at the settings on my laptop. Can anyone help me? I need a quick fix so I can meet my clients on skype. Windows Support For Bluetooth Enabled Hearing Aids

You have to buy the Bluetooth dongle from the hearing aid company.

Made for iPhone hearing aids don't even work on Mac desktop and laptop computers. Apple only lists iPhones and iPads. It is basically forced by the FCC on wireless phones.

And it is not Bluetooth, it's a proprietary protocol for streaming audio.

    Quote:

    "Bridge" accessories for audio streaming

Some hearing-aid manufacturers offer special "bridge" hearing-aid accessories that receive audio through Bluetooth from the iPhone and retransmit that audio using proprietary wireless audio-streaming technologies built in to some hearing aids. Check with your audiologist or hearing-aid manufacturer for more information.

Advice on how to connect Win 10 Desktop to Bluetooth Hearing Aids

Are you sure about the Bluetooth 5.2 requirement? The Samsung S21 (2021) I have only has Bluetooth 5.0. The Samsung S22 (2022) has Bluetooth 5.2 and the Samsung S23 (2023) has Bluetooth 5.3.

    hearing aid bluetooth connection

Thanks for the info. I had moved in that direction already but my hearing aids were not listed. My hearing aids are listed as a Bluetooth device on my computer but they do not appear on the sound card window for some reason. Is there a way I can get the
    sound card to locate them?
