Windows 10: Bluetooth Icon disappeared from Task bar and in Device Manager

HI,

I have been using a Dell Inspiron 15 N5010 for the last 9 years and have recently about 1 month ago noticed that the Bluetooth icon on the Task bar and in Device Manager has disappeared. I upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10 about a couple of years ago and never had any issues with my Bluetooth. I have reset my PC and reinstall Windows but this did not resolve the issue. I formatted the Hard Drive and reinstall Windows 7 together with all Drivers for the DELL laptop, the Bluetooth icon reappeared on the Taskbar and in Device Manager. I upgraded again to Windows 10 and the Bluetooth icon again disappeared. I downloaded the Bluetooth Driver from DELL website and while installing the Driver, a notification appeared stating this Driver is NOT compatible with Windows. Can somebody please help me to get around this issue.

To view your update history, please follow the steps below:

• Press Windows key + i to open Settings and then click
  Update & security.
• Under Windows Update, click Advanced options.
• Under ADVANCED OPTIONS, click View your update history.

Bluetooth Driver Disappears from Device Manager and Settings/Devices

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps

Method 1: Troubleshoot

Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with hardware and devices. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with your Drive. Refer these steps:

• Press Windows key +X, select Control panel
• Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons
• Click on troubleshooting and click on the view all option on the left panel
• Run the Hardware and devices troubleshooter

You may follow the steps and check if it helps in resolving the issue, as the device might be hidden.

• Press Windows key + X.
• Click on Device Manager.
• Click on View.
• Click on Show Hidden Devices.
• Search for the Bluetooth device.
• Right click on the Bluetooth device and click
  uninstall.
