  1. Bluetooth keeps needing to be restarted for mouse

I have a BM308 Bluetooth mouse paired to my PC which has an Intel 7260 BT/WiFi NIC. If the PC goes to sleep or if the mouse in inacitve for a while e.g when typing a lot, the mouse will cease to respond. The only ways to get it to respond is to toggle bluetooth off and on in the Settings app which requires another mouse or run the Bluetooth troubleshooter which effectively does the same but can be done from the keyboard. The mouse used to work for a long time but suddenly stopped. I did a huge amount of fiddling round and the problem eventually went away possibly after a Microsoft update but I don't know. A bit over a week ago the problem returned and I can't make it go away. I have 2 of the same mice for laptops and they are fine on the laptops, just not on the desktop.

I an now using the Intel supplied v21.10.1 driver and cannot downgrade to the motherboard supplied driver Gateway as downgrades are not allowed. I updated Windows to 20H2 OS Build 19042.867 yesterday and it has made no difference. There are some optional Intel updates available INTEL - System 10/03/2016 - 10.1.1.38 three times and INTEL - Other hardware - Intel H97 Chipset LPC Controller - 8CC6 but I have no idea how to troubleshoot this any further.

    :)

    Bluetooth mouse still freezes

    Hello,

There are multiple possibilities why a Bluetooth mouse could act up. To assist you with your concern, you can try these following steps:

    Method 1:

Check if the Bluetooth mouse and its Bluetooth adapter are working properly.

    • Try installing fresh new batteries.
    • Try to unplug the Bluetooth adapter of your mouse and plug it back in.
    • Try connecting the Bluetooth adapter of your mouse to a different USB port.
    • Try to remove objects that can interfere with the signal of your Bluetooth adapter and mouse.

    Method 2:

Check if you have installed all the updates on your computer. There are chances that you might get Bluetooth drivers through update:

    • Go to the Start screen.
    • Type Windows update and click on it from the list of results.
    • Click on Check for updates on the left pane in the new window.

We also suggest that you try to contact the manufacturer of the Bluetooth mouse for other options.

We will wait for your response.

    Regards.

  3. my bluetooth mouse stops working at times, any solutions?

    Hi,

Provide us with the below details for better clarity on the issue.

    • What is the make and model of the Bluetooth mouse?
    • Are you getting any error message when the Bluetooth mouse disconnects?

This might be an issue due to corrupt or outdated drivers on the computer.

Please follow the below methods and check if it helps.

Method 1: Run the Hardware and Devices Troubleshooter.

Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with hardware and devices. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with the Bluetooth adapter. Refer these steps:

    • Press Windows key +X, select Control panel.
    • Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons.
    • Click on troubleshooting and click on the view all option on the left panel.
    • Run the Hardware and devices troubleshooter.
    • Restart your computer and check if the issue is resolved.
Method 2 Install the latest Bluetooth drivers from the manufacturer’s website.

I suggest you to uninstall the drivers from Device Manager, restart the system and download the latest Bluetooth drivers from the manufacturer’s website and try installing them on the system.

Follow these steps to un-install the drivers:

    • On the search bar type “Device Manager
    • On the left pane locate “Bluetooth Adapter” and expand by clicking on it
    • Right on the “Bluetooth adapter” option and click “Uninstall’
    • Download the latest Wireless network adapter driver setup file from the manufacturer’s website and install it.
Hope this information is helpful regarding connection of Bluetooth of mouse. Please do let us know if you need further assistance, we’ll be glad to assist you.

    Bluetooth mouse, doesnot responed

    Hi Steve,

I will certainly help you fix the issue.

To understand the issue better I suggest you provide information.

    • Have you tried uninstalling the Bluetooth mouse driver and then install the driver?

If you haven't, then give it a try and check if that makes a difference.

    • Have you made any recent changes on your system prior to the issue?

    • Have you installed any third party security software's on your system?

    • What is the model number of the Sculpt Bluetooth mouse?
I would also suggest to update Windows.

    • Launch Start
      > Settings >
      Update and Recovery

    • And click Check for Updates
I suggest you to plugin the mouse receiver to some another computer and check if the issue persists.

Please refer to link below : Troubleshoot problems with your Microsoft mouse or keyboard

Note: The above link applies to Windows 10.

Hope this information helps. Keep us posted to help you better.
