  1. Bluetooth keyboard keystrokes randomly stop being picked up and are fine after simply...

So I have been having a problem with the bluetooth on my pc. I have a bluetooth keyboard, and I am able to sucessfully pair and connect it to my pc. However, at random times, the keystrokes from the keyboard will not be picked up by my pc. However as soon as I open the bluetooth setting, the keyboard works fine again. For some reason when I open the bluetooth setting, my pc will once again register keystrokes. I don't even need to do anything in setting, simply opening them is enough to get the pc to recognise the keyboard keystrokes.

I have already tried a different keyboard and the same issue occured.

I have also tried this keyboard with another computer and there was no problem.

So, I'm certain the problem is something with my pc and not the keyboard.

I found this issue https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us...s/d2a1c576-343d-4a5c-9617-a83320482606?auth=1, my issue is similar, but in my case the keyboard is not idle. It can occur as I'm typing, and the pc will just stop picking up the keystrokes from the keyboard so its very annoying as I can be doing work and then randomly have to stop and open up the bluetooth setting to get it to work.

I do not have a problem with connecting at startup of my pc.

    :)

  2. Keyboard stops working after recording one keystroke

I've tried two different corded USB keyboards now on my Desktop and both gave the same problem leading me to believe this has something to do with Windows 10 or my actual computer.

The keyboards were recognized and named correctly in "Settings>Devices>Bluetooth & other devices", and listed on device manager as "HID Keyboard devices". However, the problem I'm getting is that after plugging in the keyboard and clicking in a field that
allows me to type I can press a key and it will record that one keystroke, but afterwards it will completely stop recording anymore. I can repeat this over and over by unplugging and reconnecting the keyboard, each time only allowing one keystroke to be recorded.

Would anyone have a suggestion for how to go about troubleshooting this? I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling drivers, restarting, downloading new drivers, all with no luck and I'm running out of ideas.

    Thanks so much in advance.

keyboard randomly repeating keystroke when plugged in

    I FOUND THE PROBLEM!

The issue is my AC Adapter. Apparently, the voltage or something along that line isn't what it's supposed to be. Replacing it and everything work just fine. If anyone's having this problem in the future, try replacing your adapter.

If you don't want to shell out the dough yet, try these steps first to be absolutely certain it's a hardware problem:

    • charge battery to full
    • search for Typing settings
    • go to Bluetooth & other devices
    • pick the keyboard and choose Remove device
    • restart, and let the driver for the keyboard reinstall

    OR

    • charge battery to full (or until it can last a bit after unplugging)
    • unplug the power cord
    • let the battery completely drain, and the computer shut down
    • remove the battery
    • hold the power button for >30 sec
    • plug the power cord in and turn it back on

If the problem persists, you'll have to at least have a technician look at it.

keyboard randomly repeating keystroke when plugged in

My keyboard keep randomly repeat my keystrokes. Any key could be repeated, sometimes twice, sometimes 3 times or more, no pattern at all. When I remove the keyboard and plug it in another computer, it work just fine. The built-in keyboard of the laptop also have no issue. Also, it ONLY happens when I have the laptopp plugged in to a power source. If I run it on battery power, nothing is out of place.

I've tried restarting the computer, enable filter key and changing the delay setting for the keystroke, physically removingg the battery, reinstall the keyboard driver, drain the battery completely then hold the power button for more than 30s to drain the remaining electricity before replugging and turning the thing on... but nothing work! The only way for it to work like normal is to unplug the laptop and use it on battery, which is highly disruptive to my workflow.

    Could someone help please?

    Some techcnical info:

    • OS: Windows 10 Home (64 bit)
    • Laptop brand: ASUS
    • Processor: Intel Core i5 -2450M CPU @2.50GHz
    • Keyboard brand: HTC Keyboard (plugged in through an USB port)
