    Bluetooth Keyboard & Mouse Connectivity When Switching PCs


    Hi,


    I have recently bought a Microsoft Bluetooth Keyboard and Mouse set. I bought this with the intention that when I swapped between my work and home PCs the mouse and keyboard would automatically reconnect, but this does not happen.


    The two PCs are never on at the same time, so I had expected that when logging-in the PC would automatically recognise the keyboard and mouse and reconnect. This does not happen, so every time I start the other PC I need to set up the keyboard and mouse.


    If I use the same PC day after day the keyboard and mouse reconnect, it's just when I swap to use the other PC.


    I had bought this to avoid swapping the dongle everytime I want to swap PCs, but that now seems like an easier option.


    Is this a limitation of bluetooth on Windows 10 or am I missing something?


    My home PC is on the latest version of Windows 20H2 and I believe my work PC is on 1909.

    • What is the make and model of your mouse and keyboard?

    Cannot connect a bluetooth keyboard

    Hi,
    I'm trying to connect my Apple Magic Keyboard and Mouse via Bluetooth to my Win10 without any luck. The Apple keyboard and mouse work just fine when connected to a mac.

    The bluetooth dongle I have on the win10 is the Asus BT400.
