Bluetooth keyboard keeps going to sleep after 10 sec

I suggest you to run the Power troubleshooter and check if it helps.

I suggest you to try the methods given below and check if it helps to resolve the issue.

Follow these steps to run Power troubleshooter:

• Press Windows key + W and type troubleshooting.
• Select Troubleshooting.
• Select View all on the top left corner.
• Click on Power.
• Follow the on-screen instructions to run the troubleshooter.

6. Check if issue persists.

Method 2: I suggest you to the below steps to change the settings for keyboard and check if it helps.

• Press “windows+X” and go to “control panel”.
• Click on “device and printers”.
• Right click on the “Bluetooth keyboard” and click on “properties”.
• Under “hardware tab” click on the keyboard device and go to “properties”.
• Then under “general” tab click on “change settings”.
• Click on “power management” tab and uncheck the box “allow the computer to turn off this device to save power”.
• Then click on “ok” and restart the computer, check if the issue persist or not.

bluetooth keyboard and mouse

i have the mirosoft bluetooth keyboard / mouse and i cant use it untill windows boots up meaning i have to plug up a corded keyboard to get to the bios durins stratup or post

does anyone know about this is there a fix tried searching myself no luck

 

Surface Ergonomic Keyboard and Mouse going to sleep

I run Windows 10 (most recent public updates) on Surface Pro.

I have the Surface Ergonomic Keyboard and Mouse connected via bluetooth. Last 4 weeks when I go away from the computer for awhile (min 15 mins) the keyboard/mouse go to sleep. Sometimes it even falls asleep while on Zoom video calls and its hard to wake
it up. I have to right click like crazy and hit the windows key on the keyboard 30+ times to get it to wake up. The mouse wakes up faster than the keyboard.

My computer doesn't auto lock or go to sleep.

The only setting I can see that changed is I installed Edge Chromium and Slack app. I don't think those have anything to do with it, but thought I would mention it.

I downloaded the keyboard/mouse app from windows but don't see any settings to force it to not sleep.

Anyone have any thoughts on how to fix it?

*We have another laptop a Dell, it does the same thing.
