Windows 10: Bluetooth - Microphone input only sporadically works

Hi,I'm using Bose QC35 II BT4.0 and Anker Soundcore A40 BT 5.1 headphones paired via Bluetooth as communications devices/headsets on my Windows 11 work laptop HP ZBook Fury 15 G7The devices pair fine but I'm having issues using either of them as a communications device, mainly through MS Teams, stating that my "microphone is not working", both headsets work as output device system sounds, teams notifications, music.... but not in Teams calls. I'm using the "Echo" test for diagnosis: Either it shows "your microphone isn't working" or it doesn't even get to the point where the microphone

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with your Bluetooth microphone on your Windows 11 device.

I would suggest you also try to Check the microphone settings. Please follow the steps below;

a. Right-click the sound icon on the taskbar and select "Open Sound settings."

b. Under "Input," select your Bluetooth headset as the default microphone.

c. Check the volume levels and make sure the microphone is not muted.

All usb microphone inputs not working


So both my adapter for xlr to 3.5mm jack input and my newly purchased usb microphone are not recognised. I've tried updating the drivers, using different usb ports, uninstalling the drivers and letting windows do it manually. Every time though, it's listed as having issue's in device manager... Can some help?

 

External microphone not showing in the Recording tab

My Windows 10 laptop is not recognizing any external microphones. I have two headsets: a Bluetooth one and one for an audio jack. Both headsets work correctly on other devices. When I connect the headsets to my computer, I can hear audio, but the microphones
do not work.

Here are the steps I've taken so far:

• Updated drivers (they were already up to date)
• From Sound Settings, headsets do not appear as options for the input device
• Ran the microphone troubleshooter - headsets do not appear as options
• From Control Panel > Sound > Recording, headsets do not appear as options. I have selected the disabled and disconnected devices options.
• From Microphone Privacy, all apps have access to the microphone.
  

That's everything I found online to fix this problem. Any suggestions?
