  1. bluetooth not visible in device manager nor in the tray notification.no where in settings

    Hello community !

I'm using lenovo thinkpad t420s laptop which came with windows7.

I upgraded it to windows 10 and the bluetooth worked perfectly untill one day I acccidentally unistalled certain drivers I know not which while trying to uninstall a software that was causing problems on the system.

Later I tried finding the drivers online but none seems to bring back the bluetooth up may be because of compatibility issues , though not sure yet.

Realised bluetooth had disappeared only after a couple of weeks as I did not frequently use it back then and so could not 'system restore' as the latest 'restore' point registered was after the date I had unistalled the drivers , hence could not get it back up through restore.

Now none of the drivers are working and I have lost bluetooth completely no matter which drivers I install. Bluetooth does not show up anywhere in the OS though the hardware works fine as it blinks during boot.

Any help or suggestions or link to the right driver download would be great help as I now need to frequently use the feature.

Thanks a ton in advance !

    :)

    System Tray visibility changes

All the suggestions I've seen for changing the visibility of the system tray icons appear to be relevant to earlier versions of Windows 10. I'm at release 1903 on a new build and I can't find a way to make the changes I want. Right-clicking the task bar does not reveal a Properties link, and choosing Settings/Notifications doesn't help either. Could someone please tell me how I can make the changes I need? Thanks.

Unable to connect to Bluetooth and the respective drivers are not visible in Device manager in Windows 10.

    Hello,

Thank you for posting on Microsoft Community. We regret the inconvenience caused and will assist you in resolving the issue.

You may be facing the above issue due to no Bluetooth drivers installed on the PC. If a device driver is not installed, then the particular device will not be supported on the PC. Any device driver installed on the PC will be visible under
    Device manager.

Method 1: Since you are unable to locate the Bluetooth device under
Device manager, I suggest you to download and install the latest, suitable and compatible Bluetooth drivers for Windows 10 operating system from the manufacturer’s website and check if the issue is resolved.

Method 2: If the issues persists even after downloading and installing the Bluetooth drivers, I suggest you to run the device driver in
compatibility mode by following the steps below and check if the issue is resolved.

Step 1: Compatibility mode runs the program in the current version of Windows using the settings from previous version of Windows.

    • Download the latest driver setup file from the manufacturer’s website or locate the downloaded driver setup file of the previous operating system in your PC.
    • Right-click on the driver setup file and click on
      Properties.
    • Click on the Compatibility tab, check the box
Run this program in compatibility mode
for, select Windows 10 operating system from the drop down menu and proceed with the installation.
    • Once the driver is installed in compatibility mode, restart the PC for the effective changes to take place.
    • Check if the issue is resolved.

Step 2: You can also follow the steps below and check if the issue is resolved.

Write to us with the status of the issue on the same post for further assistance. Your reply is most important for us to ensure we assist you accordingly.

    Thank you.
