Windows 10: Bluetooth on PC completely stopped working.

Title says it all really. Some further details;-The switch to turn bluetooth on is literally *gone*. As in, just not there. -On the 'Other Devices' section in the bluetooth settings page, as well as in device manager, IntelR Wireless BluetoothR continuously disappears and then reappears. -When I try troubleshooting, the page comes up with "Check Radio status - Not Fixed".I have absolutely no idea what to do, nor how this happened. It was working fine a few days ago. I've tried a LOT - setting bluetooth support service to automatic, uninstalling the driver, using recovery, disabling and ena

Bluetooth is not working — troubleshoot claims I don't even have it

I have done all the following steps:

- installed bluetooth driver from manufacturer
- hit windows update
- updated / uninstalled bluetooth items listed in Device Manager and restarted the PC
- updated / uninstalled USB drivers listed in Device Manager and restarted the PC (USB drivers automatically came back but not bluetooth)
- turned on and restarted all bluetooth support in services.msc
- conducted bluetooth troubleshooting
- conducted hardware troubleshooting

 

Bluetooth stopped working

The most basic thing we need to learn to maintain a PC is how to keep the latest manufacturer's drivers current. Windows drivers are rarely enough.

For HP you'd use the Serial number off the sticker on PC, put it into the same place for the latest and most specific HP downloads for your build. Compare each and every listed driver version and date with the ones presently installed in Device Manager.

The Bluetooth driver may not be listed for WIndows 10, so check Windows 8.1, 8 and 7 to see if there are drivers there. But the 2019 driver you have now may be the latest and best.

Once you've determined that you have completed Step 1. Now please continue with all others steps I originally gave which normally resolve this problem. Please do not skip any steps. We often find out later that the fix was the skipped step. If you need help performing any step I will help.
