Windows 10: Bluetooth option and ability to turn on and off is gone from Windows 10

Wifi was down for a while due to changing from Shaw to Telus, and when it was done, I went back on my laptop and in the action center for Bluetooth has disappeared, along with the option to turn it on and off in settings.I also went to troubleshoot Bluetooth and these were the results I got:And when looking up for help I found that my Bluetooth was in the Hidden Devices section of my Device ManagerI don't really know what to do, since it just occurred out of nowhere when it was fine before. I had the Bluetooth disappearing on me once before but that was almost a year ago and it wasn't in the h

Turned off bluetooth, now the button is gone.

I bought a Bluetooth dongle (ZEXMTE), worked as I needed, but then I turn off Bluetooth under devices, and now I cannot get it to turn back on.








Ive ran the troubleshooter
The device shows up under device manager (when I unplug and plug it in, it plays the noise but doesnt flash anymore)
Ive tried reinstalling the driver
Made sure Bluetooth services are running

Also tried these steps:

So I went into the device manager, right clicked, uninstalled the device. When I plugged it back it in, voila its working again.

 

Bluetooth in windows 10

My computer specs are as listed in the profile. I think all of you guys are correct. I don't have built-in Bluetooth in mobo.

I contacted skull candy headphones and thy have told me if I do not have built-in Bluetooth, I would need a dongle which supports at least a2dp. I do not know what the heck that means. I have a feeling I would need more than a cheap dongle.

Anyone suggest some a2dp adapters. I searched but don't know what a2dp is so couldn't make a decision

 

Turn On or Off Bluetooth in Windows 10  

Yes, Shawn, but only insofar as immediate effect (the button became unlit and the text on it greyed out). After making that observation, without re-enabling Bluetooth in device manager, I rebooted. Upon reboot, I find that:

• The Bluetooth button in Action center is once again lit,
• but "Bluetooth" is gone from the Devices menu, and
• Right clicking Bluetooth in Device Manager, presents "Enable" as an option (implying it is indeed disabled).
