Windows 10: Bluetooth paired sound devices are not accessible to play sounds

Hi, the problem has been described multiple times in internet on different platforms/forums - but still no working solution for me is available . My laptop Dell Vostro 7510 connects properly to BT sound devices - as BT speaker Bose and BT headphones 2x Sony. Although devices are connected - they cannot be used as output stereo devices. Only BT headphones are active as hands-free devices. All actions has been completed:1. removing and adding sound devices2. removing and adding controllers BT, Sound - realtek, etc 3. Win11 - system updated on daily basis. 4. Controllers - every 1-2 week

Can't select paired bluetooth speaker as sound output (Windows 10)

I just got a new bluetooth speaker, an Urbanears Stammen (concrete grey)

I can connect to it from my phone, using Bluetooth, and play back sound no problem. But I can't get my Windows 10 laptop (Dell XPS 15) to use it as a playback device.

I can connect and pair to it no problem, as you see in the screenshot below





It also shows up under bluetooth in the device manager. It's not listed under "Audio inputs and outputs", which I thought it should be, but I can see it under "Sound, video and game controllers".





But I can't select it as a playback device

And I tried the suggested steps listed there, but nothing helped

Any further ideas I could try?

Can you not select the desired device from the Volume icon?....

 

Lumia 950 Bluetooth With Nokia Play Bluetooth Speaker No Sound

When I pair my Lumia 950 via Bluetooth to with a Nokia Play Speaker, it states that it is "Connected Music". However, when I play music from Groove, I can see the song is playing but no sound at all. I've tried the following in hopes to remedy the problem
but same result:

• Unpair and pair again
  • Manual pair
  • NFC pair
• Ensure no 3.5mm jack is connected to the speaker

I'm guessing this is due to a Bluetooth stack issue. Will Microsoft update the stack in future updates?

Note that on my Lumia 920 Windows 10 Preview, I'm able to hear sound just fine.
