Windows 10: Bluetooth problem after automatic update to my Public Win 10 - speaker stopped working,...

I have a problem with my Dell Inspiron 5070 laptop and a bluetooth speaker on my PUBLIC version of Windows 10. It started yesterday 7/26/20 after a Windows update. The speaker stops working, but Windows says it's connected & paired, but won't let me disconnect or remove it. I've found a circumvention by deleting the speaker via Settings/Devices, then powering the speaker off and on and reconnecting the speaker via Settings. To keep it from disconnecting again, I leave it playing music with the volume turned down so low I can barely hear it until I want to hear something again. That's a pain but at least it circumvents the problem. FWIW my speaker is an Energy BTS made by Klipsch, and I'm running Windows 10 Home 2004 Build 20175.1000. According to Control Panel Programs and Features, the only update showing is KB4565626.

A simple solution but one that works in most circumstances!

1. Click Start, click Run, type services.msc, and then click OK.

2. In the list of services, right-click Automatic Updates, and then click Properties.

3. In the Startup type list, click Automatic, and then click Apply.

4. If Service status is set to Stopped, click Start, and then click OK.

5. Right-click Background Intelligent Transfer Service, and then click Properties.

6. In the Startup type list, click Manual, and then click Apply.

7. If Service status is set to Stopped, click Start, and then click OK.
