Windows 10: bluetooth remote control error code 10

im having an issue with my bluetooth dongle, where the generic bluetooth drivers install correctly but the bluetooth remotecontrol gives me This device cannot start. Code 10 {Access Denied} A process has requested access to an object, but has not been granted those access rights. i've tried searching fixes and can't find any. i've tried updating drivers, rolling back drivers, uninstalling reinstalling drivers, installing different drivers, repairing windows, and messing with regedit. any suggestions?

Nokia Bluetooth Remote Control

Can someone suggest a Bluetooth remote control app that will work with a Nokia touch screen phone? I've tried Phone Remote Control with some success but its not fully touch screen compliant.

Bluetooth remote control failed to start error 10

Hello,

I have been getting and error on my device tree that the Bluetooth remote control failed to start with an error code 10. I have removed and reinstalled the drivers from windows and also the vendor Intel. I saw an error message like this on another thread
but they could not get bluetooth to work. I tried the solution to that person issue, regsvr32 /u btmshellex.dll and it came back saying that was not known.

I am sure this is most likely a corrupted dll but do not know how to fix.

 

Remote Control

Remotes are a touchy thing. They all use different codes to control different things. Unless it has a specific code for a PC's remote adapter, you may be screwed. Maybe the device that you are trying to control has the code that you can input to a universal remote? Otherwise, you probably won't ever find the right IR code.
