Windows 10: Bluetooth Services a mess of Auto/manual/ different logons/wrong parameters etc.

Add to the above errors 1068, 1079, Wrong parameters. Have tried everything I could find in the community actually last time I tried a Bluetooth speaker BS it paired and showed as connected for a couple of seconds - then no more. Does anyone know of a comprehensive guide as to what combo of details need to be in Services for BS to work. Just did a re-install of Windows last night - didn't help; I'm guessing that a re-install from other than on my computer is the way to go; maybe the one in the BIOS for selling i.e. some kind of complete clean out but not sure whether it would effect whatever mish mash of settings in Services is occurring; or maybe it's a hardware issue but the speaker has worked OK occasionally but never more than one session which suggests software/settings to me. Please don't respond with anything about re-installing drivers etc.

I have found a possible solution for both of us (I can't test it right now) it's changing the start type in the registry from Manual to Automatic.

Change "Start" from 3 to 2 in the following places:
Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\BluetoothUserService
Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\BluetoothUserService_33965
Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\bthserv

I am not sure it will work but i'll try it soon

Edit: I just saw that you cannot turn on/off Bluetooth, i know how to fix that.

Step 1: Open services.msc
Step 2: Start the following services:

Bluetooth Support Service
Bluetooth Audio Gateway Service
and any other Bluetooth related services.

Then set all of them to automatic.

BTW: I am having a problem setting Bluetooth User Support Service to Automatic, but the registry thing I showed you up in my post might fix it.

 

Bluetooth Services

I've been using the audio gateway on my phone for a while, but when I actually looked through the list of services it does provide, I found it to be quite large. For some reason, my computer doesn't support many of these, such as remote control etc.

I'm pretty sure it has more or less to do with my bluetooth adapter, because it gives me only a small list of the total services it can accept. Anybody have any idea how I can add more?

Hello,

My Bluetooth was not detecting any devices. I started Bluetooth User Support Service and it seemed to work. My PC said it's discoverable. But the problem is I need to restart my PC for it to work but when I do, it just shuts off again! I tried changing it to Automatic and Automatic Delayed Start but it kept saying The parameter is incorrect.

I can't find any solution right now
