Windows 10: Bluetooth Sound Quality very low during calls/ using Microphone

I run windows 11 on my HP Omen 15 Laptop. My issue is that whenever I use Bluetooth headphones the Audio Quality goes far down during calls on Discord or such. It is only when during a call. I am not aware of any Setting that I would find to fix this. Tried searching through Posts and Sites to find an answer and nothing helped. Note: These aren´t the first headphones I experienced this issue with and other people that I know also experience this issue. Turning off the permission to use the microfone for applications seems to help although is kinda counterproductive as I won´t be able to talk.

This tip is unfortunately not useful.

As I described already, the MICROPHONE has low quality.

I want to use it in video conferencing calls live Google meet or others.

But the sound format for the microphone are so bad.

And in your tip, the guy does deactivate the Microphone:. Here is what he says:

Note:
After disabling Hands-free Telephony, you can't use the mic on video conferencing calls.

To use the mic, enable "Hands-free Telephony".

So still no solution unfortunately

 

Bluetooth low quality microphone

i am using Windows 11 and the Sennheiser CX True Wireless Bluetooth Headset

Playback quality is ok, but i cannot use the microphone in a good quality.

The recording quality is very bad (not so on Android Smartphone or iPad - there ist perfect)

The Recording tab on sound device manager shows only (greyed, so not changeable) :

1 channel 16 bit 16000Hz

How can I change that to get higher quality?

This issue might occur if there is change microphone or audio settings.

• Have you tried to check the issue by connecting with another microphone device on the computer?
• Are you getting any error message on the computer when you use the Microphone?
