Windows 10: Bluetooth soundbar is connected but sound still only plays from the laptop speakers

HiI know this question had been asked many times but the previous threads are locked and none of the workarounds are working in my case. The bluetooth is paired and shows as connected with my LG soundbar, but the sound still plays from the laptop speakers and not the soundbar. I had no issues with my previous laptop. Everything says the device is working normally and I have tried updating drivers, unpairing and repairing it, troubleshooters etc, but nothing seems to fix it. I think the issue may be to do with the default playback settings. When I go into the sound settings and playback tab, th

bluetooth external speaker won't play music

hi,

i am having problems connecting my laptop via bluetooth to an external soundbar specifically the LG SJ8.

it pairs and connects, but when i play music, no sound comes out of the external soundbar. the laptop speakers are still the ones being used.

when i try to choose the output device, the soundbar is not listed as an option. only the laptop speakers are listed.

it was working fine before, but i am guessing that as a result of a windows update, something went wrong.

i tried connecting my back-up laptop to the soundbar using bluetooth but i get the same problem.

i have another external speaker, the Bose Mini Soundlink, and for some reason that device connects fine and plays music normally.

would appreciate your help here.

Bluetooth speaker wont connect to laptop?


I'm having some trouble figuring out what to do here, my Bluetooth speaker wont connect and isn't even discoverable by my laptop. i want to connect my Bluetooth speaker to my laptop but when i go to Bluetooth settings my speaker does not show up on the list of devices. I have un-installed and re-installed the drivers, i've reset the Bluetooth driver management service and Bluetooth support services but still nothing is working, any help would be much appreciated.

just in case you need to know the specs.
speaker: Bush soundbar model-BSB02BT20
laptop: Hp Elitebook 8470p running windows 10

The sounds will be still playing out of the laptop and there is not any output settings to set it to LG output.

On the LG soundbar I see the PC is connected but not any sounds.

I have tried to update drivers, but wasnt helpful.

Please recommend me something..
