Windows 10: Bluetooth speaker not working in stereo mode on Windows 10

Hello,

I have a Harman Kardon Aura studio 2 speaker, but I just linked to my laptop.

But the sound is horrible and it has been setted to use 1 channel, 16 bit, 8000 Hz.
Also, related option is greyed out so I could not change it.

* The speaker is fine, it makes gorgeous sound with my phone.


How can I fix this?

I suggest you try the steps listed below and check if it works. This issue could be because of the Headphones BT SPEAKER Stereo being set as default. I suggest you to try the steps listed below and check if it works.

• Pair the speaker with your PC.
  
• Right click the Windows icon on the taskbar and choose
  Device Manager.
  
• Expand Sound, video, and game controllers
  and right click on your Bluetooth speaker (BT SPEAKER Stereo).
  
• Choose Disable and acknowledge the confirmation popup. Wait for the screen to refresh.
  
• Right click on the same device again and Enable.
  
• Exit Device Manager and see if the issue persist.

Meanwhile, please try these troubleshooting steps:

1. Try to connect the Harman Kardon Aura studio 2 with another device.
   
2. Click on the Audio/sound Icon on the right hand side of the task bar and make sure that it shows Harman Kardon Aura studio 2 or Bluetooth speakers.

Edit: This is a dongle with old BT version I see now, but I'm sure you can find a Asus BT4.0 version.

@aasim1111 I have this one, it doesn't show that it supports A2DP in the specs but I think it'll work, otherwise send a mail to Asus and ask.
