  1. Bluetooth speaker seems to send Media play/pause signal randomly

So I use my amazon echo dot as a Bluetooth speaker for my desktop PC. This problem seems to occur only when connected to that though, as I use a wireless steel-series headset for my regular use any never had this problem.

Pretty much if I pause Spotify/YouTube while connected to the echo dot, it will stay paused for 10-15 seconds maybe, and then will automatically unpause and start playing again. It’s extremely frustrating. I’ve tried to uninstall/reinstall Bluetooth drivers with no changes.

Kinda ran out of ideas after that lol. My guess is that the echo is sending random play/pause signals through Bluetooth to my pc and that’s why this problem occurs. I think if I could somehow disable that feature and just use it strictly as a speaker with no other commands then it should work, however it’s possible that’s not the issue at all.

If anyone else has had this problem I would love to find a solution! I’ve tried looking around the internet but I can’t seem to word my problem correctly lol.

  2. Bluetooth speaker not playing

    Hello Tanya,

Your Bluetooth speaker might be paired with your PC but not connected. You can try the following steps to manually connect it:

    • Make sure your Bluetooth speaker is turned on.
    • On the far right of the Windows taskbar, press and hold (right-click)
      Volume
, and then select Playback devices.
    • On the Playback tab, select the Bluetooth speaker, press and hold (or right-click) it, and then select
      Connect.
    • Select your Bluetooth speaker, and then select Set default. Music should play on your Bluetooth speaker now.

Let us know if performing the steps makes any difference.

  3. Bluetooth Play/Pause not working

I've had this issue for a while, and it's really annoying me. I use BlueTooth earbuds a lot on my computer, and would like to use the full remote on them. All the controls work fine, except the play/pause button. It doesn't work in any software other than WMP (Windows 7) and other software downloaded from the Windows Store seeming all designed for Windows 10. Hell, even FL Studio works with the pause play, but none of my music player. I mess around with my registry a lot, so it might be that I disabled something in there that ties in with media controls. Even the pause/play on my keyboard tends to stop working after maybe five minutes of music playback. Could someone give me advice on how to fix this so my play/pause works in, for example... MusicBee, or VLC media player classic (non windows store)?

    (side-note)
I often have a lot of issues with the connection to my computer dropping randomly with internet and Bluetooth. Thought I would mention that in here too.

Bluetooth speaker seems to send Media play/pause signal randomly

    Bluetooth pause/play button stopped working

The Bluetooth pause / play button stopped working. I tried both a Bluetooth speaker and Bluetooth earphones that were both working recently and both of them have the same issue with the pause/play button not working. When I try these same Bluetooth speaker
& earphones on my cellphone the pause / play button works fine. I am using Windows 10 version 1909 on a laptop computer.

I checked for system updates to see if that would fix the problem but the problem remains after updating operation system.
