Windows 10: bluetooth speakers and headphones delay/skipping first second when starting sound,...

I am using windows 11 and a jbl 5.0 speaker.When I start playing sound e.g. from youtube, or videos, or audio, the speakers take about a second to start playing skipping the first second of sound.This seems to happen only when starting from no sound. If I already have sound playing then another sound can play instantly. However, even half a second of silence will result in the next second of audio of being cut off.It seems to have something to do with bluetooth cutting the connection when it thinks there is no more sound.Is there way to change this behaviour, either a fix, or a way to force

Bluetooth Speaker Delay

I got a Bluetooth speaker and It works well enough apart from it having a significant delay

I connect it to my computer and it works well for the first few seconds but then you hear a skip in the audio then the video is ahead of the sound

Delay ranges from <1 second-5 seconds and it's extremely annoying

I've tried looking for fixes but the cases I've seen are mostly for Bluetooth headphones/headsets and they all involve checking the firmware or changing the audio profile but they have no explanation as to how to do those things... I would greatly appreciate
any help (Windows 10)

 

bluetooth headphone sound starts after 2 to 3 seconds delay

This problem happens whenever something tries to play a "new" sound for exemple when I watch a Youtube video the first 2 to 3 seconds of the video would always run with no sound, but when i rewind and rewatch them it works fine, another exemple with windows
sound effects like the sound of opening a new folder, the first folder won't make sound but if i keep opening folders the rest would make the sound effect.

When trying to fix the problem I tried to use the headphones hands-free speaker instead of the default stereo speaker in the sound input settings and it the delay disappears but this setting has very bad sound quality compared to stereo.

My headphones reference is Wireless STN-18 and my operating system is Windows 10 Family Edition.

This problem doesn't happen when I used a wired earbuds.

How can I fix this delay while using stereo

Reinstalling the Realtek and the bluetooth driver didn't fix the problem

 

Stereo Bluetooth Headphones do not reproduce stereo sound

Bluetooth 4.x headsets (headphones with microphone) have two modes:
1. Stereo headset speakers with NO microphone
2. Mono headset speakers with microphone

I see in the listing for your headphones it shows a microphone. Make sure your the audio is configured correctly so that you have stereo headphone speakers.

With your headphones connected with Bluetooth

Left-click on little speaker (bottom right on desktop)





You should see current speaker for computer
In this example headphones in stereo is selected





If you click on Headphones you will bring up all options





To see more…
Right-click on little speaker (bottom right on desktop)





Select Sounds from list





If you want Stereo Headphones but NO microphone

Select Playback tab
Make sure Headphones is the current playback device





Select Recording tab
Make sure Microphone array (or similar) is the current recording device
