Windows 10: Bluetooth starts hissing only after some hours

I have a weird problem with my bluetooth on my windows 11 pc. After a few hours of usage my bluetooth headset starts hissing which gets more and more intense until there is only static noise. If I have them connected, but don't use them for some time they will still be connected but play no sound at all. But when I change the audio output to the built-in speakers the sound is fine. Also if I connect my headset with my phone it is fine.I tried turning the headset off and on again, but that doesn't help. I also tried different headphones, but there is the same problem. E63 hiss

Are those 32 ohms or 16 ohms? Web sites have both and Senn no longer makes them.



If resistance does not work to match the phones to the 16 ohm output stage, then using a 16 ohm phone should work. My im716s are 16 ohms and a thread on HowardForums.com mentions Senn CX-300s (on an e71), which are also 16 ohms.



I have not heard any reports of hiss while using bluetooth rather than wired.



Odd that you're getting hiss with the stock headset, while I am not. This suggests unit to unit variations, which is not good. Do you get hiss from the e63's speaker?

As far as I can tell, the issue is not high quality compared to stock headphones. The issues is 16 ohm impedence (no hiss) compared to higher impedence (hiss). Normal headphones are usually at least 32 ohms and this leads to hiss.



My high quality 16 ohm Altec Lansing im716s sound good.



I had hoped that adding impedence in line would help, but Cobaltblue's experience suggests not.

I just tried foosion suggestion with using headphones with volume control. As far as I can notice they only reduce the hiss by just a bit. It is still there for me and it is still annoying. If I knew that E63 is so bad with music with added complementary
hiss effect, I would have never bough it!
