Windows 10: Bluetooth will not connect when the PC wakes up from sleep on Windows 10

I was having issues with my Logitech BT keyboard not reconnecting when my PC woke up. I thought it was just a bad keyboard so I ordered a brand new Microsoft BT keyboard and Mouse set. I still have the same issue. The only way to get the keyboard to reconnect is to restart the PC.


I found a few old discussion strings and tried the recommended solutions and had the same results they did which was no issues resolution.


Any suggestions?

You mentioned that Bluetooth isn't working only if the computer have just been activated after sleep. To further isolate the issue, we suggest that you turn off hibernation. Follow this step by step instructions:

• Right click on the Start Menu button, and choose Command Prompt (Admin)
• Enter the following line: powercfg /h off
• Press Enter.

I suggest you to uninstall and reinstall the Bluetooth driver from the PC by following the steps below and check if the issue is resolved.

• Press Windows logo + X keys on the keyboard and select
  Device manager from the context menu.
• From the window, expand the Bluetooth device option, right click on the driver and select
  Uninstall from the context menu.
• Restart the PC and connect the Bluetooth device to the PC.
• Check if the drivers are reinstalled and connected to the other Bluetooth device.

I suggest you to check which devices are configured to wake up the computer from sleep by following the steps below:

• Right click on Start icon and select Command Prompt (Admin).
• Type the command line below:

Powercfg /devicequery wake_armed

3. Check if the devices (Keyboard, Mouse, Ethernet cable) are listed.

If the system is not going to sleep and going to Hybernate, the only option to wake up is to press the Power button.
