    Bluetooth wiped out

I restarted my computer yesterday didn't watch the update happen. When I logged on it yesterday I noticed the on/off button to connect to bluetooth is completely missing.

It happened before but it appears after restarting my computer. Now, whatever update happened, i am unable to find the bluetooth button. Bluetooth wiped out 8832ce8a-57a7-4453-9744-5527d28ea14d?upload=true.png

I tried downloading the driver again from MSI it didn't work.

Look at my photo and you'll know what I mean.

  2. Wiped out bluetooth

    Hi Danil,

Thanks for posting your query to Microsoft forum. I will certainly help you with this.

    • What is the make and model of the pc?

    • Have you installed all pending updates and also updated all device drivers?

You seem to have an issue with connecting to Bluetooth devices. Refer to the following issue diagnosing methods and check the issue status.

    Method 1:

Run the hardware troubleshooter and check the issue status. Follow the steps:

    a. Click on Search on taskbar.

    b. Type “Troubleshooting” in the Search box and hit enter.

    c. Select “Hardware and Sound” from the
    Troubleshooter Window.

    d. Select “Hardware and Devices” under Devices option.

    e. Follow the On Screen instructions.

    Method 2:

I suggest you to uninstall the Bluetooth driver from the device manager and install the latest driver for the device from the manufacturer website.

Step 1: Uninstall and Reinstall Bluetooth Driver.

Please follow the steps given here to uninstall and then reinstall the Bluetooth driver.

    a. Press Windows key +X
key when you are at desktop.

    b. Select Device Manager.

    c. Find and double-click Bluetooth driver from the left panel to uninstall

    d. Right-click the device, and click Uninstall.

    e. Windows will prompt you to confirm the device’s removal. Click OK
    to remove the driver.

    f. After the uninstallation is complete, reboot your computer as soon as possible.

Step 2:Install the Bluetooth device driver by referring to these steps and check the issue status.

    a. Press “Windows + X" and select "Device Manager.

    b. Double click Bluetooth device.

    c. Choose, "Browse my computer for driver software”.

    d. Choose, "Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer".

    f. Follow the online instructions and check the issue status.

    Bluetooth in windows 10

My computer specs are as listed in the profile. I think all of you guys are correct. I don't have built-in Bluetooth in mobo.

I contacted skull candy headphones and thy have told me if I do not have built-in Bluetooth, I would need a dongle which supports at least a2dp. I do not know what the heck that means. I have a feeling I would need more than a cheap dongle.

Anyone suggest some a2dp adapters. I searched but don't know what a2dp is so couldn't make a decision
