Windows 10: Blurry cursor when switching screens

Hi

I usually use my laptop connected to an external monitor with the laptop's lid closed. When I unplug the laptop from the monitor and use it as a laptop, and then when I switch back to having it plugged in to the monitor, my mouse cursor becomes blurry and I have to go into settings to change the mouse pointer size to something else and then back to what I had it for it to become normal again.

This happens everytime I disconeect and thereafter reconnect the laptop to the monitor

I have the pointer size set to 3, and the colour set to turquoise.

The monitor has a higher resolution (1920x1080) than the laptop's display (1366x768); however this blurring issue only affects my mouse pointer and no other aspects of Windows.

Running Windows 1903.

cursor dissappeared

Thank you both for your prompt replies, I tried all steps listed, some I had tries previously but I still tried them again, but still no cursor.

Do you have any other suggestions?
