Blurry display but not sure whether it's hardware or windows setting problem

    Device: Alienware M14xR2

    Driver: IntelR HD Graphics 400, Date 15/5/2020 Version 10.18.10.5146 & Nvidia GeForce GT650M Date 9/4/2019 Version 25.21.14.2531

Bios Date 28/5/2018 Version Alienware A16

I have a blurry screen on default resolution 1600x900 60 hz both graphic and fonts

But it's every OK on lower resolution like 1024x768, 800x600 etc

And all the rates of 60hz looks worse than 40 hz

Is it a hardware problem or is it a setting problem?

    :)

    Blurry display, resolution problems

After upgrading from Windows 7 to Windows 10; the display, fonts, in most of the programs are blurry, unclear as if I would need reading glasses.

Changing resolution (1400x900 is my standard on a Thinkpad T400S), has no effect.

The drivers are checked and up to date.

I have gone trough all the settings again and again all without anby result.

A big pity, Windows 10 is a big step forward, but this display issue, makes me very unhappy and I consider a roll back to Windows 7.

Does anybody has similar problems, will there be a patch?

    Blurry monitors

    Hello Sheldon,

I'd follow what Greg posted, in addition to some of the other suggestions listed here. All are some great ideas and steps to take. In addition you can callibrate your display

    1. Use the Windows key + I keyboard shortcut to open the Settings app.
    2. Click Display.
    3. Click the Advanced display settings link.
    4. Make sure you're using the Recommended screen resolution for your display, and click the Color calibration link to launch the utility.
    5. click here for more details: Calibrating your computer's monitor on Windows 10
