Thank you for your reply and your support! It is very surprising that so few people participate in this thread. It makes me wonder, am I really the only one or are we so few, who face such issues?

Anyway, from your reply I understand that something is not working right. I think that you, as well, mean that both in the Properties panel and in File Explorer the text that appears smaller now should display bigger - since everything is set to "12". Am I right?

Furthermore, I do not understand what you mean with "ribbonzes ". I am not a native English speaker.

When it comes to Feedback I've already reported this and I will keep doing so, up to a reasonable amount of times. In this latest, leaked, build though I am not asked for Feedback, even though I've set it to "once a day" and I always log in with my MS account. I do not mind. I am genuinely looking forward to the next official ISO. I will clean-install it and start from there.

    Thank you.

PS: Oh thanks! I will try your suggested edits after one hour. *Smile

Okay, I have tried it but unfortunately it does not work. Nothing happens - the font size remains the same.

Specifically, after exporting these keys on my Windows 7 64 bit Home Premium desktop, I have rebooted and back on Windows 10 I've set everything at their defaults. This means everything in that drop-down menu was set to "9". Then I have merged all three reg files, after moving them on my Win 10 desktop, and rebooted. The text size remained the same. I have then applied each reg file one by one, in the given order, Singed Out and Signed back in. Nothing happens. The text size and Icon's size remains the same. The pop-up after each merge informed me that the keys (values) have been successfully added to my Win 10 Registry, on each occasion. But nothing happens.

Finally, I've set the system to 125% "zoom" and applied these settings again. It does not work - nothing happens.

"Ribbonzes" - as in "hobbitses" a reference to Lord of the Rings - meaning the "ribbon" - the control area at the top of Explorer and Office desktop applications, which used to be just menus, toolbars, and buttons, but appeared as a tabbed toolbar in Microsoft Applications in 2007.

I did not read further on in this:
Advanced Appearance Settings - Change Text Size for Items in Windows 8

Which indeed says that this does not help - sorry.

This is yet another major annoyance of Windows 8 that is so far carrying on into Windows 10 - lack of interface settings control for users.

I had this problem and apparently gone through all the same steps as you I guess. In Windows 8.1, there is a "Let me choose one scaling level for all my displays" option that fixes it for me, but nothing like this option is present in Windows 10, at least was not until build 10147.

Thank you all, the few of you, for your replies + support. I am giving up.

I am going to ignore / forget the "blurriness matter" on all these Windows components, on all these parts of the operating system itself, which they are supposed to function properly, according to my personal opinion. It's not that I have been talking about some third party application, supposed to accommodate to this new OS. This is the Device Manager, the Task Scheduler, the Disk Management, and all the rest, that do not display appropriately on my two monitors : nothing exotic - nothing Korean. A very good all rounder (my DELL), and a very nice 24" Hewlett Packard. Both excellent performers on daily Office / Home usage, and nice on light gaming, too! But no, the Device Manager will NOT display clearly!

The best setting I've found to apply so far is a 125% Custom scaling level. It is this not recommended setting that displays everything (I've tested), from the Office 2013 and 2016 Preview, up to my browsers, my monitoring tools, my system-stressors, my motherboard utilities, the Aquasuite, and the rest of my programs, at the right text size and clarity. The system's components display at the appropriate text size but blurry and weirdly bolded. No problem.

Looking forward to the next official ISO.

    Thank you.

is it DVI-I or DVI-D youre using? might be problem. what sort of GPU you have? might cause such errors if it starts to bend out due to power requirements (errors in the picture).

OT: windows 10 adjusts itself with the sizes of icons and stuff, ive noted this with my 55" samsung and 32" LG that i use daily basis. when i go with the HDMI connection on both and plug samsung in, the windows adjusts sizes of icons and texts by itself, its pretty cool, altho i hate having a 1/4 sized bsplayer on my screen *Wink but it works nicely tho

Just out of curiosity: how are the monitors recognized in Device Manager?

If they are showing as generic, you may see some benefit by installing the "drivers" for the monitors.

    (Just a guess.)

I'm mostly satisfied with text on my (cheapish) 28" UHD Samsung monitor.

Here it is. Observe the difference between the title bar of each window and the rest of the content. I don't know how these screenshots look in your monitor but in my system there is a significant difference between the title bar and the rest.

As "generic" is recognized my 46" plasma TV only, but I exclusively use it to watch movies.

Windows 8 was clearer then 10. I tried the Cleartype config, didn't help.

  10. My monitor is a AOC2243Fwk DVI set to 1920 x 1080....I had no problems in Windows 8.1 since it had the option to select Smaller, Medium and Larger option...which is missing in Windows 10...

  11. Hello,

I have nearly the same Problem (Asus pg278q ROG SWIFT monitor).
The left side of my screen shows the fonts clearly and perfectly but when moving to the right side, the fonts get more and more blurry.
Could this be the NVIDIA drivers? I Have this problem since the NVIDIA updates for windows 10. After I installed Windows 10, the NVIDIA drivers were not installed but the fonts were perfectly. The Install CD for LCD Monitors (included in the monitor) says that the OS is not compatible - so could this be the problem?

  12. Officially upgraded to Windows 10 yesterday, but this issue still persists. We need a "Let me choose one scaling level for all my displays" option really bad.

P.S. I actually upgraded my 8.1 Professional to 10 Pro, and until I restarted the OS to complete loading some drivers, it was fine and like 8.1's scaling options carried on. But after that restart, blurriness came back it's still here. Tried lots of things but nothing works currently.

  14. Well, ladies and gentlemen, I found a solution at last! http://forums.mydigitallife.info/thr...caling-problem

I'd rather have a cmd screen pop-up at the start over having blurry fonts here and there any day, so this is it for me. I can help if you get lost through the post, just let me know.
