Bonkers network problem with build 330

    Hi folks

This thing is driving me crazy (even more than I am normally !!) -- Update so build 330. This machine can communicate with others on LAN both Windows and Linix (NAS servers) on OUTBOUND. On INBOUND this machine can only accept connections from other WINDOWS machines --all NAS INBOUND connections are refused

There must be some setting (there are always about 10 zillion in Windows) that I've got wrong -- haven't changed any AFAIK. The non 330 build Windows machines are all working.

Here's what typical NAS shows me -- simply want to send a file over to Windows --not normally a problem -- I send over a batch file that is run on the Windows machine to connect to the NAS server and run a data backup (of the Windows User data).

Ping also unreachable --which is rare as that generally always works !!! (and I've done the obvious --the Windows LAN address is definitely correct)

From the Windows machine (OUTBOUND) no problems

Any ideas -- or is Microsoft deciding to get tough with Non Windows inbound connections to windows machines !!!!

    Cheers
