  1. Boot Device not found after opening my laptop- Help needed for making a bootable USB

I bought my laptop about a week ago and yesterday I opened it and it said that the boot device wasn't found. I had barely anything saved it on it so I wasn't that bothered.

I've tried all the procedures that were recommended by HP and nothing worked. I did the hard drive check (both extensive and quick) and it showed no errors. The laptop that I bought, HP Pavillon Gaming laptop model 15-cx0001na did not come with a recovery disk. Windows isn't loading, I just get a message saying "boot device not found/ please install operating system on your hard disk (3F0)."

The only solution that I thought of was to create a bootable USB and so I reinstalled Windows 10 on the USB but since the only other computer I had was a iMac, I had to use the Boot Camp Assistant application and created it on there to use. After it was on the USB, I put into the laptop and booted it up. For a while, it kept looping on the HP screen but after closing it and opening it again, it went to the setup menu but I was stuck on the drivers part. Also, the USB was formatted beforehand as FAT32.

TL;DR: need operating system for laptop, created bootable USB on Mac and now stuck on the steps

So my question is: Is the bootable USB that I made on the Boot Camp Assistant application only usable for my iMac and if so, how do I make a bootable USB on a Mac?

Thanks in advance. Also sorry if the topic's wrong, I'm not sure really sure what to put it under.

    :)

    Multi-bootable USB

Hey guys from TPU, couldn't find any specific thread pertaining to the question asked on title. As mentioned, I'm trying to create a bootable USB, but with many specifics boots available.

I've been trying to create one with multiple boot device including one that enables me to run Windows 10 directly on the USB Thumb Drive but to no avail.

The list of bootable images i'm trying to create are

    1. Windows 10 (A full OS running from thumb drive)
    2. Windows 10 ISO (Bootable disk image for fresh install)
    3. MemTest86+

Have tried YUMI or UUI from the website USB PenDrive Linux but as this is my first time, i don't know how am i screwing up or am doing it right.. Anyone got a rough idea on a step by step guide? Thanks!

Boot Device not found after opening my laptop- Help needed for making a bootable USB

Need help. want to create bootable win7 64bit iso with usb-stick (using 32bit xp)

I suggest you use HP USB Disk Storage Format to make your usb stick bootable like Bogmali said, download here http://files.extremeoverclocking.com/file.php?f=197

Then copy ALL files from the iso to the formatted usb pen, i suggest you open the .iso file with Winrar and extract all files to the usb pen.

Like Mussels said your PC should be set to boot from usb:
1.On startup press F8 or whatever is the corresponding key on your keyboard for the boot options, or
2.Enter BIOS (hit Del or F2...), go to Boot Priority and set your usb pen as primary boot device.
F10 (save and exit),restart, you're good to go.
