Windows 10: boot device not found and the ssd is nott detected anywhere

I was using my pc normally when it suddenly froze and won't take any order so i shutdown it by holding the power button and opened it again it seemed like it was working normally but when opened edge the pc got slow and the mouse was moving on screen like 1 frame speed and it won't take any order still tried to shutdown it and try again but as soon i open anything else it freezes again except when i open the system setting it doesn't freeze so i thought it was like a windows issue so i tried to reset the pc and the download part finished and after the pc restarts and said no boot device is de

Automatic repair while booting from hdd and installing windows on ssd.

1. Migrated windows from hdd to ssd
   
2. Formatted hdd
   
3. Prioritised boot from ssd in bios
   
4. Turned on the pc
   
5. Automatic repair
   

To deal with this I select boot from a device > then EFI USB device > it says no bootable USB detected, select from these drives > there are few options including the newly installed ssd > I select ssd > then it shows disk checking, press any key to stop > I stop it > windows then boots from ssd.

It very difficult to repeat all this everytime I turn on my pc. Please suggest a fix.

 

External SSD not detecting in the boot menu

External SSD not getting recognized in the boot menu by Windows 11 laptop



I recently purchased a gaming laptop, Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 15ACH6 for programming and running Linux.

I had previously setup an internal SSD (with a case) with ubuntu and wanted to use it with this device. But it is not getting recognized in the boot menu.

The laptop came pre-installed with Win11. The external SSD is from GigaByte and is working fine when viewed from another laptop and from live ubuntu. I have tried updating the boot version.

What can I do? Could it be the problem with Win 11 because the other laptop had Win10 and that was working well?

I want the SSD to be recognized in the boot menu, so I can run ubuntu.

WHAT I HAVE TRIED TILL NOW:

• The external SSD is working fine when run on another laptop.
  
• I have tried updating the bios version, but it is for Win10 and doesn't work with Win11.
  
• I tried using live ubuntu on this laptop, and all the partitions are getting detected there correctly.
  
• I have tried updating the boot version, thinking that it must be the problem. But the latest version on Lenovo's site is for Win10.
  
• I tried googling to upgrade the SSD, but found out I didn't have to. Cause this is a software issue.
  
• I tried updating to eh latest BIOS using Lenovo's site
