    Boot Drive Changed on Update?

On my latest Windows 10 update (yesterday) my boot drive randomly was changed from my HDD to my SSD, deleting all old appdata and files and completely getting rid of any installed programs that weren't expressly installed in my D drive. Why might that have happened? My computer runs perfectly fine - both before, and now - but I never TOLD my PC to do that, it just did it involuntarily. My old setup had zero issues going on; is this just windows messing with me and... is there any way to get my old data back?

    Boot Drive Changed on Update?

    USB boot for bios update

Did the first step. It already doesn't work. Note the capacities and drive letters M:/N: The HP utility is about to format my raid-1 volume containing my 2 750gb drives. It thinks it's the usb stick. I can not select any other drives in the HP utility. My 512mb usb stick is U:.

    Any other suggestions?
