    Boot failure nightmare: why is this such a pain to resolve on windows?


    First off, I'm very technically inclined, and I've been using both Macs and PCs for over 3 decades.on Macs, every time I've had some sort of boot problem, the recovery options have been almost fully automated and simple, and I've been able to easily recover my macOS/OSX installation WITHOUT losing any of my user settings, folders/files, or other data.on PC, it's always been a total mess, long lists of failures of every recovery option listed, and a completely painstaking process to restore a bootable Windows installation, which usually results in needing to reinstall Windows, and LOSE ALL of m

    Sabertooth 990fx won't boot to windows logo, it shuts down

    to boot and enter bios and load windows, any todays PSU (with the correct plugs) will work, AFAIK

    to enter BIOS only low wattage is used.
    Then, during boot, the HDD and a bit later the videocard card start to demand juice, then the other devices and periphericals... so the total demand during boot up is incrementing step by step, that's why a failure halfway could indicate a PSU problem....

    laptop doesnt boot automatically

    This is what happened.

    1. Did a repair install and later disabled hibertnate in CMD.
    2. Enabled legacy option ROM in BIOS.
    3. After a few times startup ( i used the system in such mode for 5 days), changed boot option back to default.
    4. Vola!! It boots automatically to win10 without any keypress. Tested it with many starts to confirm the same.
    5. Re-enabled hibernate option using CMD and later selected Fast Startup.
    6. System booted normally, without the need for any keypress.

    I do not know exactly whether such steps resolved the problem or what else happened, hence cannot suggest above steps.

    Many thanks to all members who helped to troubleshoot problems.
