Windows 10: boot issue after KB4580364 update in windows 10

Hi,


After updating this KB4580364, my windows 10 device has problem with booting with hibernate.


When I hibernate the device, It goes to sleep and that's ok, but when I turn on the device, it shuts down after booting the bios and windows 10 is not loaded at all.


For now I have unistalled this KB4580364 and the problem is fixed.


I had this problem with both 2004 and 20h2 versions of windows 10.


Worth to mention that, there is no problem with regular shut down or restart. this just happens when hibernating the device. I've also not tested with sleep mode.


Now I want to know is there any fix for this or I should wait for a new update by microsoft.

Windows 10 KB4580364 update

I got KB4580364 optional update today but I have not gotten Windows 10 20H2 yet. How is it possible?

Do suggest me to get 20H2 update with Update Assistant or not?

windows 10 slow boot

I was having a slow boot issue on my Windows 7 install a little while back. It would take about 30 - 40 extra seconds to boot up for whatever reason.

I would try following these steps, while this didn't solve my issue, it did increase Read/Write to where it should be.

In the end, I had to reinstall my Windows 7 entirely to fix the booting issue. It was taking around 35 seconds to boot, and after the fresh install it takes about 7 seconds to boot.

It's good that you're not experiencing any issues. Unfortunately many folks are, a quick Google search will show the same info im offering the OP.

It's basically what I mentioned above, small issues here and there ,but nothing to end your day.. for the most part.

I know it's anecdotal, but for my experience 95% of the time it's perfectly fine. The issues I've run into wouldn't be enough for me to roll back , but they would be enough (had I not installed it yet) ,to avoid it for another couple weeks which is why I'm suggesting it to the OP
